For all those Gardner haters out there (which, by now seems to include just about everyone but me), Porter has expressed doubt about returning to the Raiders. If he tests free agency, as he claims he intends to, he'll probably command a signing bonus of about $7 million, but he'd be a pretty good #2 wideout.

No thank you. He's bad news.

I'd rather stick with Gardner

Porter is a home town guy. He played high school ball in DC. I think he would be a good #2 also. He has size and pretty good speed.

EEICH, why do you say he's bad news? Have you heard anything? I'm just asking because I haven't heard anything too negative about him.

Porter doesn't have the focus in my opinion to be someone you can rely on. I wouldn't trade any of our receivers for him. He hasn't been able to step up to be the guy his whole career and is seeing a bunch of rookies and young players catch all the balls at a time he should be coming into his own. He probably will never be able to star for any team.

our recievers would be tight if they get out of the current funk they are in

I wouldn't mid having him over Gardner. I don't hate Gardner, but I think Porter has better hands than Gardner. Why is Porter bad news?

We don't need Porter, we don't have the money, and we are fine at WR. What we need is to have surgery on LC toe, so he can be a big time threat again.

I don't like the guy, but if we're going after another receiver (I like Gardner) we could try for Mike Williams out of USC (kinda)
