Ruhskins 09-27-2010, 03:15 PM Good teams never do it two weeks in a row. Good teams don't go 0-2 against rookie QBs. MTK 09-27-2010, 03:16 PM Good teams never do it two weeks in a row. I wouldn't call the Texans game laying an egg, they are a good team with an explosive offense. Player_HTTR 09-27-2010, 03:19 PM I wouldn't call the Texans game laying an egg, they are a good team with an explosive offense. I wouldn't have said that before kickoff. Losing the way we lost though, I would say it could be debatable. MTK 09-27-2010, 03:22 PM Well now we're just arguing semantics here, but to me laying an egg is when a team goes belly up against a clearly inferior opponent. True, at 27-10 I thought the Texans clearly inferior.:) I still haven't gotten over losing the way we did, the good teams gut that one out. skinsfan_nn 09-27-2010, 03:42 PM Hunter "The Punter" Smith, good move....just not as a backup QB! Ruhskins 09-27-2010, 03:48 PM Hunter "The Punter" Smith, good move....just not as a backup QB! or back up RB. mlmdub130 09-27-2010, 03:51 PM The question is when have our bad feeling ever not come back to bite us. Here's a short list. - Drafting Jason Campbell in the first round of the 2005 draft - Promoting Vinny to EXVPOFO - Not hiring Gregg Williams - Hiring Zorn - Drafting 3 pass catchers in the 2nd round - Not fixing the O-Line - Signing Haynesworth to a $100 million contract - Bringing Zorn back - Hiring Haslet - Switching to the 3-4 - Not resigning Red Snapper and Hunter the Punter I've started to learn to trust the bad first impression. In fact the only bad first impression that I can think of that turned out to be completely wrong was drafting Trent Williams. Can anyone else think of an example of bad first impression that turned out to be overblown (ie when we rejected the null)? even the things we thought were gonna be good at the time end up being bad thats just they way we roll, thats redskin football, atleast in this era. eventually the skins will prevail and have a winning team again we just have to have some consistancy, which is something we have been missing for the past 11 years or so IRISHSKIN24 09-27-2010, 05:38 PM Hunter Smith+Mcnabb+Shan-nasty= CHAMPIONSHIP....last years most explosive weapon is back and he's ready for some football!!!!!!...lmao |
