Longtimefan 09-27-2010, 01:38 PM So funny, this all sounds like the same old song we were singing late last year, the year before, so forth and so on. Disgruntled with the coaching staff, perplexed with the scheme. Not happy campers.
And what's so funny about that is we're only one or two improbable wins away from moving out of the "we officially suck" line. We will "suck"- STS - everytime we lose, regardless of how we lose or who we lose too. When we win we're on the right track, Shanahan and Allen will be walking on water again. All will be fine until the next loss, then the cycle repeats itself all over again.
I have a difficult time trying to understand how people can turn on a dime that way. You're only as good as your last play with some fans, win and everything's fine, lose and everybody "sucks".......Amazing!!!
GTripp0012 09-27-2010, 01:41 PM Well that is just a silly statement. You're using yesterdays game as the only example and forgetting all about last week. Did you watch last weeks game? I don't remember any QB throwing for almost 500 yards against our defense. The defense blew a 17 point lead and never made any adjustments. That's the most annoying thing so far. I've yet to see Haslett adjust to what the other teams play caller is doing. How many times did Schaub run that bootleg and what did Haslett do about it?That was a direct apples to apples comparison: 2009 Detroit and 2010 St. Louis.
Do you want to break out the numbers from last year's first Giants game? No, I really don't think you do, especially if you're of the position that our defense is worse now.
The point is, factually speaking, our defense was horrible through three weeks last year. They ended up in the middle of the pack after all was said and done. They were a strong unit in most of October. This is simply being overlooked right now as people come with the pitchforks and torches to the new DC is that, apples to apples, the old defense struggled just as much in our 1-2 start last year.
Worst case scenario right now is that: nothing is different and we'll only go as far as the offense can take us. Because that's just the kind of team we've been the last three seasons.

It should turn around soon as we are only playing PHI,GB,IND,CHI pretty easy until week 8 against the Lions.
Beemnseven 09-27-2010, 01:44 PM I cant believe we lost to the RAMS.
OMG, that is pitiful. so much for the "playoff run" here in DC. that was downright ugly, and there are ABSOLUTELY no positives to come out of that game.
We stink.
I assume this is sarcasm, right?
If not, what makes you so sure we are that much better than the Rams?
Over the next few weeks, when the shellacking the Redskins are going to take starts happening against Philly, Green Bay and Indy -- we're going to look back on that Cowboys victory and wonder how it ever happened.
It's only going to get even more ugly...
Chico23231 09-27-2010, 01:44 PM Rams hung 30 on us...nuff said about the poor state of our defense

Don't forget that 1/2 the game without Steve Jackson.
takethecake 09-27-2010, 01:46 PM Clearly there is only one solution....
Bring back Sherm Lewis to call plays on defense!

Rookie QB in 3rd start as well
GTripp0012 09-27-2010, 01:47 PM Well, since Green Bay's defense has given up 75 points in their last three games, I can only assume we all have the Bears tonight?

Philly, Green Bay, Indy and Chicago are included in those improbable wins.
