NFL Regular Season Thread: Week 3EARTHQUAKE2689 09-28-2010, 01:27 PM Right now I would take Brees over Brady. As would I. SirClintonPortis 09-28-2010, 01:32 PM Who cares about Cutler? Unless he's on my FF team, I don't care whether he succeeds or not. Maybe if he succeeds it will make good football to watch, but that's about it. I'm not going to be gushing over how good he is, because he's not a Redskin. I can appreciate a good NFL player, but that's about it, just appreciation. I care about my mancrushes. Cutler is one of them. over the mountain 09-28-2010, 01:37 PM so you're saying a qb drafted in the 1st round, made the pro bowl in his 1st 3 years and was traded for 2 1st round picks or something like that is a great player? dang, never saw that coming. Monkeydad 09-28-2010, 02:00 PM Lol. You blame all of Cutler's decreases in production on HIM when he had a severe talent drop and coaching drop in 2009? This is 2010, dude, and at least the coaching has been elevated from crappy to near genius. Next incompletion percentage is not the best indicator of accuracy. Watching the damn games and see where the ball ends up or was supposed end up is better, and Cutler can thread that needle very well. The Bears have one of the shittiest o-lines in the league. Hell, it may have been worse than ours last year. Even so, there were plenty of plays yesterday where Cutler was nearly decked and he avoid the pressure to make near perfect or perfect throws to his receivers. Not only that, his BEST game was against Dallas, which is the best defense he's faced so far. Cutler's a Hall of Famer. GB Defense > Dallas Defense. Just saying... I'd also have to agree with Matty on Brees...move him above Rivers, possibly Brady. Monkeydad 09-28-2010, 02:21 PM He reminds me a lot of Eli Manning for some reason. Must be that look on his face. http://i33.tinypic.com/xfqhwh.gif Monkeydad 09-28-2010, 02:24 PM Bad idea, Green Bay. http://www.gifsoup.com/view1/1180649/devin-hester-punt-return-o.gif Ruhskins 09-28-2010, 03:57 PM I care about my mancrushes. Cutler is one of them. You could probably start a NFL mancrush thread....although I think GusFrerotte may go nuts with it. LOL :towel: SirClintonPortis 09-28-2010, 06:30 PM You could probably start a NFL mancrush thread....although I think GusFrerotte may go nuts with it. LOL :towel: Oh don't worry. I've been on fire with regards to QBs. The only QB I was absolutely wrong about so far since Jason Campbell was....Jason Campbell. Time to start a "young QB" prediction thread. Dirtbag59 09-28-2010, 06:40 PM This Cutler lovefest is getting a little out of hand. The Bears piss me off like you would never believe. We bring in an offensive genius from the Air Coryell system and kill a coaches career (Al Saunders). Bears bring in an offensive genius from the same system, and find out their genius is in fact, a genius. Bears trade for a franchise QB, in fact overpay, and see dividends. We're not so bad, but McNabb should be playing like Cutler. And yeah I guess Cutler is in his second year with the team, but it's still his first year in the offense. The Bears have a group of no name recievers yet their passing game is on fire. We have a group of no name recievers that wishes they were as good as the Bears. The Bears go into a season with a reeling offensive line and go 3-0. We go into a season with a reeling O-Line and go 4-12. The Bears make Field Goals and complete punts. Our kicks get blocked. The Bears beat the Lions, we loose to the Rams. The Bears play a defense that fits their personnel. We play a defense that doesn't fit ours. And finally the number one reason I hate the Bears: Julius Peppers. Yes, Bears bring in Peppers with a HUGE contract and get a monster on defense. We get this http://www.skinsreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/albert-hurt.jpg SirClintonPortis 09-28-2010, 06:46 PM Johnny Knox is an example of hitting a low round draft pick. It's only his second year, but this guy is a deep threat and can play. Devin Hester always had a bit of playmaker in him. Finally, just to kick Dirtbag359 in the 'nads, Devin Aromashodu was on our practice squad. |
