CRedskinsRule 09-23-2010, 09:29 AM Best outcome this week:
We stomp the Rams, Houston stomps Dallas
Worst outcome:
not even mentioning but you get the idea.
This week will be a great test to see if MS really has brought a no nonsense, play hard every week attitude, or if it was just another of a long history of talk with no follow up.
Monkeydad 09-23-2010, 01:10 PM This is a must-win if we want to make the playoffs.
Crazy Canuck, it's Week 3.
Monkeydad 09-23-2010, 01:11 PM Any word on Kareem Moore yet? I am sure he is still Out, but really haven't heard any progress since last week.
Redskins Insider - Kareem Moore expects to be ready Sunday (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/albert-haynesworth/kareem-moore-expects-to-be-rea.html)
Kareem Moore expects to be ready Sunday
Safety Kareem Moore says he expects to make his season debut at St. Louis Sunday, but other players are plagued by injuries that kept them from fully practicing on Wednesday.
Left tackle Trent Williams, who sprained his knee against the Texans, did not practice with his teammates Wednesday, but the team is not ruling him out of Sunday's game.
"We'll evaluate him every day," Coach Mike Shanahan said. "Hopefully, he'll be ready to go."
Receiver Anthony Armstrong also did not practice Wednesday because of a groin injury. In releasing running back Larry Johnson Tuesday, the team mentioned needing special teams help because of injuries. Armstrong appears to be the lone special teams contributer who did not practice Wednesday. The first-year receiver said he hopes to play Sunday, but Shanahan said Armstrong will be evaluated each day this week.
Defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth was limited in practice. Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett said Haynesworth is still bothered by the ankle he sprained in practice last Wednesday. "Hopefully, there's no setback," Shanahan said.
As for Moore, the free safety apparently practiced fully Wednesday for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery Aug. 23. He was limited in practice last Thursday and Friday and was ruled out for the team's first two games. Reed Doughty has been starting in his place.
"It felt good," Moore said after practice.
aceinthehouse 09-23-2010, 03:24 PM I'm expecting and demanding a 3 TD victory at the minimum!!
rbanerjee23 09-23-2010, 04:00 PM Crazy Canuck, it's Week 3.
For a rebuilding team, every game is a must-win to make the playoffs. Doesn't matter if it's week 3, we beat the Rams we're where we need to be; we don't beat the rams, i highly doubt we make the playofs

We lost a game 52-7 and lost to the Bills and still made the playoffs a few years ago.
One loss doesn't make a break a season. There could be a game we're unexpected to win go our way...which is very possible looking at our killer schedule.
Heck, if not for Suisham, we would have beaten the SB champs Saints last year, and honestly, we were a pathetic team, lucky to finish 4-12 with the incompetent people running our team (Vinny, Zorn, Mr. Bingo)

We ended up not needing any tiebreakers, thanks to the Cowboys rolling over and playing dead for us in Week 17. And then never coming out of the fetal position.
Minnesota, Philly, and Arizona were all 8-8 that year. We beat all of them once each.

Kyle Shanahan: Jammal Brown looked good working at left tackle today. ...interesting that he'd be forthcoming with that info. #mindgames

Yeah, it's waaaaay too early to talk about must-wins.

You mean 52-7 vs N.E? They destroyed us, I remember when CC scored late in the game and I was embarrassed lol
