Well...maybe Dirty 30 can get a shot or two at him without being 40 yards downfield

Thats a good point. Landry might be the worlds best QB spy. He can easily match Vick stride for stride in a foot race. Force Vick to carry a ball and you can forget about it.

Still I have to admit that for once I'm actually scared of Vick. The possibility that Andy Reid has honed his passing skills is quite the prospect. Right now I just hope that it's nothing more then playing against a Green Bay prevent defense that wasn't prepared for Vick and facing a Lions team that is a long ways from competing.

Funny how Mcnabb was let go because the Eagles were going to be Kolb's team. Two weeks in and it isn't his team anymore.

Vick will explode before too long and the Eagle faithful will be calling for his head as well.

I used to live in ATL when Vick was in his prime and have to laugh when i heard the revisionist history in regards to Vick.
Vick was soo talented that he took his team to the NFC title game on little more then sheer athletic ability alone.
Vick was not a disciplined QB and he was still effective.

Now that he's actually trying to improve his passing and working on his craft as a QB with a competent teacher be afraid be very afriad he's much more of a threat then the Kolb lead Eagles.

2 things:
o using Landry as a spy (or any defender for that matter) weakens the defense
that's one of the worries of dealing with Vick
o Landry might be able to hang with Vick in terms of long speed but Vick is in another league in terms of quickness and agility

Me too, I was salivating at the prospect of facing Kold. Now that Vick is the starter, the game will be a lot tougher to win.

Bring it Eagles... not worried about the dog killer.

Of course their is reason to worry about Vick, but at the same time we have the best weapon to contend with the Eagles, thier staring QB for the last 11 years.

Eagles have made a big mistake, and Kolb is going to get unhappy fast or except that he is a backup QB in the NFL.

I think Reid took some time, reflected on the matter, and changed his mind. Simple as that. I don't think anyone was pulling his stings. I watched nearly all of his presser today and he seemed very comfortable with the decision and explained that right now Vick is one of the hottest QBs in the NFL, with the fourth highest QB rating.

Reid is history in a couple seasons. Vick will revert to Atlanta form soon enough and then you will have an inefficient Kolb trying to take over late in the season. Mike has upgraded his passing ability, but that isn't saying much, since his last season in ATL he barely would hit the 100 yd passing mark, trying to do his Barry Sanders impersonation. Neither is beating Detroit such a great feat, especially since the Lions did comeback.

Not concerened at all (although I do miss a guy like ST or Lavar who wouldn't let Vick run wild ) but Vick's accuracy is average at best, Kolb is nothing special. Thanks Andy for sending your franchise QB to us... I'll sit back and watch this Vick/Kolb experiment blow up in your face!

Has anyone remotely considered the possibility that Vick was actually changed in prison? I can tell you (not from direct experience, but through friends) that being stuck in a cell for more than a year can really change your perspective on life and on utilizing your chances. Admittedly, some guys don't change, but some really do.

I'm starting to think that he actually changed his attitude toward his career and is actually focused and trying to be a better overall player vs. just relying on his god-given ability. I see a lot of folks talking about how he's going to revert back to his "old self". I'm not so sure...this isn't just a guy who switched teams, he literally had a life changing event, and I'm starting to think he's the real deal. Of course I reserve the right to change me mind, but his decision making right now looks WAY better than I ever saw it when he was with Atlanta. He's just not making stupid throws right now.

As others have said, who would you rather play against right now, Vick or Kolb? There-in-lies the decision to stick with Vick as the starter IMO.
