Natural balance - Clinton Portis doesnt have it.
Skins need to further invest in the trenches next seasonAlvin Walton 09-20-2010, 08:14 AM Natural balance - Clinton Portis doesnt have it. freddyg12 09-20-2010, 08:43 AM I think that if you want to invest anywhere look for someone special at Guard. Maybe get a slight upgrade at backup over Heyer. However I'm not to concerned with our running game. The situations haven't really worked in our favor. Last week we didn't have a whole lot of possession and this week, passing was way to easy. Once the ground game got going the Texans held on to the ball like their life depended on it. The only really upgrades I can think of, that are worth pursuing next offseason, are a young talented back and a Trent Williams like Guard. That play though by Larry Johnson was flat out pathetic. I'd like to see more from Keiland Williams. The guy is physically a beast and has little wear and tear on him. The main thing is we don't need to give up draft picks for VJax todays game proved that. Instead we need to invest on defense and maybe on a special Running back prospect. That's a good summary Dirt. L. Johnson looked pretty old & CP did a couple of times too. When we were inside the 10 in the 4th CP got outside to the left but couldn't keep his balance and/or kick it up a notch to get to the edge. A young CP would've had the 1st IMO. Instead we had 3rd & 1, false start for 3rd & 6, then a blocked FG. Not saying CP is done, he is still a big contributor, but a young rb is needed. If Williams is that guy, cool. redsk1 09-20-2010, 09:16 AM Yes, our team needs to draft well and often in the next couple years. We can't give away any more draft picks. We need oline and dline help along w/ RB and WR big time. We're already short in next years draft although we got McNabb. tootergray34 09-20-2010, 09:45 AM yep that is CP's bread and butter move. Tripping over his own feet or someone elses feet. forgot about that play someone needed to say it. Lotus 09-20-2010, 01:44 PM Yes, our team needs to draft well and often in the next couple years. We can't give away any more draft picks. We need oline and dline help along w/ RB and WR big time. We're already short in next years draft although we got McNabb. Not just draft well. Given our lost picks, Allan needs to earn his paycheck by finding some quality UDFAs. mlmpetert 09-20-2010, 01:57 PM Oline> QB > Dline > Cornors > Everything else, in my opinion Dirtbag59 09-20-2010, 02:38 PM Oline> QB > Dline > Cornors > Everything else, in my opinion Eh, I'd say QB> O-Line > Front 5 (for the 3-4) > Safety's > RB's > ILB's > WR's > Corners Though it was amazing seeing the difference in protection when Heyer was out there verses when Trent was out there. Vinny on the other hand Pass Catchers > QB's > Corners > Safety's > D-Lineman with pretty stats > Linebackers with pretty stats > RB's > Linebackers without pretty stats > D-Lineman without pretty stats > Hot dog vendors > hookers > cheerleaders > O-Line NYCskinfan82 09-20-2010, 02:44 PM If I look ahead to the 2011 draft I would say we will be tradeing out of the 1st rd in order to pick up more draft picks IMO.
