skins89moss 09-19-2010, 09:35 PM A Victory next week against the Rams will help heal this wounds guys. FRPLG 09-19-2010, 09:36 PM We dialed back the aggressiveness in the second half on defense and it hurt us. Wondering why. mooby 09-19-2010, 09:38 PM Did you see London on that sack of Schaub or him drooping in coverage he played well. I'm not saying he plays horribly and he's a liability. He still makes plays but he's not the tackling machine he was in the 3-4. I did see him make that sack, you know, cuz I watched the game, but I'm just saying he's not an ideal fit for a 3-4 linebacker. He's effective but not dominant like he was last year, and pretty much every year since we've had him. skinsnut 09-19-2010, 09:39 PM Predictions seem to be coming true...improved passing game because of Shany, and decline in defensive effectiveness because of an unneeded shift to a 4-3 under unhearaled DC Haslett. The defense is no better than last year and seems to give our competition chance after chance to win games...I know it is early....but look at the stats. If we score 27 points....we should ALWAYS win. Only crappy defenses lose at home with a 17 point lead late in the game. Haslett...this loss is completely on you....fix it now MTK 09-19-2010, 09:40 PM Fletcher had 3 tackles, 4 assists, and a sack. He's going to be fine. BaltimoreSkins 09-19-2010, 09:41 PM I got into my car to take my daughter to her grandparents and tried to decipher between Huff and Jurgesons senile ramblings what happened when Johnson scored a touchdown on a 4th down play. How'd that happen? any insight would be appreciated. wilsowilso 09-19-2010, 09:41 PM Predictions seem to be coming true...improved passing game because of Shany, and decline in defensive effectiveness because of an unneeded shift to a 4-3 under unhearaled DC Haslett. Haslett...this loss is completely on you....fix it now Haslett's track record is not pretty. I'm not sure that performance was his fault, but damn that was embarassing. skinsfaninok 09-19-2010, 09:44 PM Well it could be worse, Dallas could start 0-3 vs Houston next week, and their supposed to be the best team in the NFC diehard 09-19-2010, 09:44 PM This is my final analysis. Because we were effective in the passing game early on, forced Houston to abandon their great running attack. This actually played to the weakness of the defense. Ideally, you want the opposing defense to have to pass giving your defense a chance to take it away or incompletions. We don't have play making safeties of the such and therefore allowed mismatches. Every big conversion was mainly against the safeties, not Hall, Rodgers, or Buchanon. I'm still scratching my head with the switch to a 3-4 but, regardless of scheme, you have to play to your personnel's strengths. Play more man or cover-3 zone. Dirtbag59 09-19-2010, 09:50 PM Well it could be worse, Dallas could start 0-3 vs Houston next week, and their supposed to be the best team in the NFC I wonder who that is now. Certainly not the Vikings and Cowboys like everyone thought. And it's most certainly not anyone in the NFC West......are the Bears the best team in the NFC? |
