Redskins Uniformsmusicmaster45 02-21-2011, 11:47 AM Ok know we need the retro arrow point or one feather not 20 44ever 02-21-2011, 12:50 PM :Flush: Wow... Anyways, your headdress idea has been done and it looks like utter crap. So would ANY Redskins design with black in it. http://detroittransplant.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/redskins2.png?w=356&h=316http://cdn2.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/152704/cfjuw.jpg Those suck. This is better http://leftcoastskinzfanartwork.webs.com/pro-comabt-skins-uni-1.png skinsguy 02-21-2011, 01:08 PM Well I think we all can agree BLACK is not in the teams colors, however neither is WHITE technically. Don't get me wrong... White has been incorporated into the "Burgundy and Gold". So if WHITE can and was incorporated then so to could BLACK be incorporated to replace WHITE as trim. I think the major problem is half the fans despise change and would prefer to keep the same uni's and helmet forever. The other half are split up into groups that would like to see a modernized retro look and the other half wanting just a modernized look. White is a neutral color that pretty much every team utilizes so that the two teams playing on the field can always be distinguished between each other. skinsguy 02-21-2011, 01:12 PM Those suck. This is better http://leftcoastskinzfanartwork.webs.com/pro-comabt-skins-uni-1.png Even if the Redskins did decide to implement black as a trim color, this would never work because you are using black as a primary color, and this is not the case for the Redskins color scheme. Their primary color is burgundy and then it's gold. I absolutely hated the unis when Lombardi was here, because he tried to make the Redskins look too much like the Green Bay Packers. skinsfaninok 02-21-2011, 01:38 PM Just stick with the same with some minor adjustments. Maybe use the R logo instead of the Indian Head. Black looks too much like ATL musicmaster45 02-21-2011, 01:45 PM ok the black looks legit but the old fanbase will hate it and will want burgandy as the primary color. The idea could still work if it was shifted to burgandy. SolidSnake84 02-21-2011, 01:51 PM I think we do need some kind of uniform update. I liked how the Lions tweaked their uniform and kept it similar, but yet updated. If we really have a new identity (do we?) and are trying to change the culture, then an updated uniform is in order... musicmaster45 02-21-2011, 02:00 PM Solid Snake, your perfectley right. We are now shifting to adraft our players and were addding youth. We need to continue the trend Monkeydad 02-21-2011, 03:19 PM Those suck. This is better Ughhh...No it's not. It's better-quality artwork, but the design is just as horrid. Solid Snake, your perfectley right. We are now shifting to adraft our players and were addding youth. We need to continue the trend That makes absolutely no sense...adjusting the team's identity based on the average age of the roster. Dirtbag59 02-21-2011, 04:19 PM I think we do need some kind of uniform update. I liked how the Lions tweaked their uniform and kept it similar, but yet updated. If we really have a new identity (do we?) and are trying to change the culture, then an updated uniform is in order... I think uniform changes only work if you've sucked for a long time while having done virtually nothing as a franchise. The Broncos with their 4 Super Bowl losses. The Cardinals winning virtually nothing. The Falcons never posting back to back winning seasons. Eagles never winning a Super Bowl (sure they still haven't won one but they're contenders year in and year out). Tampa with those ugly orange uniforms. Seahawks never having reached a Super Bowl. Patriots loosing their two Super Bowl appearances. I don't know if 3 Super Bowl wins qualify you for a uniform change turn around. The science is still being studied. |
