But seriously, The unis were just a mix-and-match of jerseys and pants that the team had laying around in the equipment room. Did you see Bidwell? He jersey clearly showed the wide yellow and white stripes on the sleeves that match the same stripes on the burgandy pants. Yes, I know most players are wearing the elastic cuffed jerseys so it's not noticeable but, the stripes on the gold pants (and socks) clearly belong with another jersey. In my opinion, DALs unis are clean. Standard numbers without outllines match the players' nameplate and the numbers are on the shoulders instead of on the sleeves. That's why the 70th anniversary unis were so nice.
Thats why they were able to get away with it being somewhat of a secret for so long. Had we actually made new uniforms we would have heard about them back during late winter-early spring. Keeping jersey's a secret doesn't bode well for business since the new uniforms are reveled in the offseason to prompt fans into buying them. On top of that teams are suppose to tell the NFL ahead of time what jerseys they plan to use throughout the year, and if I remember right theres a limit to how many different uniforms you can use.
However in this situation all we did was recycle the pants and socks from our 70's throwback kit, and since teams don't really sell football pants in stores they were able to keep it a secret.

This was the only way to make it a surprise when we came on the field. If we wanted new pants completely, it would have had to been applied for with the league and would have been leaked/reported on, just like every other new uniform.
There are people out there obsessed with uniforms and dig for this stuff...then share it online.
We all knew about the gold pants rumor...but didn't know for sure when it would happen until it did.

Sorry, but the dehydrated piss color for our pants looks absolutely horrid, and if our uniforms were deemed ugly before, then there is no way those ugly ass YELLOW, not gold, pants made them better.
Those YELLOW pants made the players easier to see, but more painful to watch. Bottom Line.

I think that it's more of a vitamin B piss yellow. My dehydrated/hungover piss is more of a dull yellow, sometimes brownish. Not quite 49ers gold, but approaching that more so.

Really not a big fan of the gold pants. I don't mind them but not every game though. I guess unless they use the old helmets along with them. I'd like to see them use the Burgundy on Burgundys or the White on Whites as well this season. I understand that folks want the old school feeling again but I saw them win in the more recent color scheme.
Whatever they do I don't care but I'm not as geeked up for the gold pants as the 74 that voted yes.

So what do the Rams wear at home? Dark Jerseys or White Jerseys? Will the Skins be wearing burgundy tops and gold pants again this week?

They wore blue jerseys on gold pants in their Week 1 home game vs. Arizona, so I'm guessing we'll be in white over burgundy this week. I think the gold pants should only be worn with the burgundy jerseys, I think I'd prefer white/burgundy over white/gold.
