I don't think we're looking to add Jackson, but who knows

a 4th and a 5th for haynesworth would be a steal for the Titans...it would make me a bit sick...but I guess I'd get over it.

Ideally we should get what we need from Haynesworth so we can acquire VJAX....which is probably why we want a 2nd and a 5th...is that your take Smootsmack?

Honestly I think that the conditional 3rd is the best for all parties involved.

Didn't know there were rumors. All I had said was Titans are frustrated with him and I'd like to get him. But I did also say theyre not likely to move him.

Which was exactly my point. The things the fans are focused on are not necessarily the same things the players are.

Thing is the media likes to create their own hype, and if it continues the media is going to bug the players about the situation constantly, so yeah the players probably don't give a damn, but the mediawhores are not going to let them forget what is going on. The whole thing takes on a life of its own. I don't think the team is going to be affected all that much if at all, and I don't think Dallas gives a damn. They can beat us with AH in the 4-3 and they can beat us with AH in the 3-4. On paper they are the superior team. The whole thing is stupid and the media is behind it trying to drum of hype for the game and to just have something to write about to justify their moronic jobs. Doing fantasy football again this year on NFL.com is fun, but it is also sort of hilarious how they have made such a production out of it. I mean how many frigging writers for fantasy football do you need?

Anyone who is remotely entertaining the idea that this may be a smokescreen is an unfortunate victim of delusion. That doesn't mean that Haynesworth won't eventually get in line, just that it hasn't happened yet.

Alright, let me break it down so even a Giant's fan can follow along. The head coach is the face of the team. Obviously, Shanahan has a problem with Haynesworth. You still with me? So instead of trading him during the draft, Shanahan decided that he was going to keep him on the team. So week after week, day after day, Haynesworth becomes the lead story because Shanahan has to play some games to show who's boss (he did this at Denver too, you probably don't remember this and will ask me to look up examples). So we finally get to the end of the pre-season and guys like Vonnie Holliday don't have to dress but the best D-lineman on the team has to play 49 of 55 plays against bread truck drivers. Then the team rips him to the local paper (which happened several times in the offseason). This right before the one of the biggest games of the year.

The leader of the team, Shanahan, has been in control this whole time and this situation is out of control. This whole week we should be pumped about Dallas but instead we get to think about Golston and Ma'ake getting pushed around the field while Al is sipping gatorade.

I would beg to differ with you sir. I feel it's all Haynesworth's fault. He was in total control of this situation throughout. If you recall last yr he would be on the field for any more then 9 plays and he would lay on the field taking an injury time out then after the commercials walk off the field. Only to return the next series. Haynesworth said himself he was out of shape all yr and was going to go work with his trainer and "get in shape" and come back and prove himself.

Zorn was fired, Shanahan was hired, Haslett picked up and after his meeting with the new HC, Haynesworth walked away advising he would not be in OTA's and would be working out with his trainer cause he was not going to come back and embarrass himself.

So basically "if" Haynesworth kept his promise, worked out like he said he would in order to get in better shape then he was last yr, arrived back at the begining of camp and proved he was in shape and provided a better showing on the field during preseason games, Mike Shanahan could do nothing else but eat his words and move on.

Instead he stays away through out OTA's as advised, he supposedly "gets in shape", returns to camp and can't pass the physical test, gets on the field and can't last a quarter, when interviewed by reporters he curses at them, tells them the organization didn't tell the whole story (whatever that means), and then says everything is peaches and cream. When in fact it was not.

Personally he should be treated like Lavar was and benched until he's capable of playing at full strength for the whole game. Given a monitary fine for each game he is not ready or capable of playing all 4 quarters in. If Haynesworth does not feel this is fair then he can always pay back the 21 mill he took from the organization. I can't imagine anyone on this board accepting a decent size check from their boss would not be expected to perform for the company in some way shape fashion or form. For 21 mill AH was expected to simply be in shape. Thats his job, to be in shape. Heck he's playing a game. Fat Al should be forced to actually go out and work at a construction site, flip burgers at McDonalds, farm land or any manual labor job available for a yr and let him decide after that which he prefers. Excercising hard in the offseason and being in shape and ready to play in order to make millions or sitting home on Sun. and watch it on his wide screen tv after working 40+ hours a week for little money.

yeah not sure how you'd give up on a 2nd year WR who had a decently productive year

I never said this was a smoke screen. This is information that is out there. There are discussions taking place. Does not mean it will ever get done. I am sure BA and even MS won't take what is not proper compensation.
