I agree...I didn't like signing Galloway at all, so clearly I do not want to see him the #2, I'm still holding out hope that Thomas will win that spot. I wouldn't have minded us getting housh, just that I would no way want him as a #1, nor is he good enough to be a #1. So in that sense, I certainly understand what you are saying.

Thanks man...I haven't had a lot of time in the recent months...although I might have a little more here since I am waiting for surgery. (torn rotator cuff)

Yeah I agree, if we got V.Jax there might be more of a discussion of him taking over the #1 role, but if we get anybody else, we'd probably look at getting Galloway out of the starting lineup. I really wish DT had stepped up and taken that #2 job during the summer but if he doesn't take it this season he's never gonna take it. If both DT and MK turn out to be busts I'm gonna be really disappointed.

And that really sucks to hear that you have a torn rotator cuff man. Good luck with the surgery and recovery, it sounds like you're going to have your hands full for the next few months.

Well that came out of nowhere. I'm not saying that Moss sucks or anything, but TJ Housh could've compete for the #1 spot and def get more catches with the Redskins.

I call it the Madden effect. People like to give that "who do you cover" speech to their friends. For me I just get a headache when I hear it, especially since you hear it frequently from Dallas fans these days. On top of that people keep forgetting to mention Chris Cooley as a viable number 2 target. Inside the box thinking has people thinking that a #2 guy has to be a wideout.

I hear ya man...I was really expecting big things from Thomas this year, it appears that's more like a 10% chance now.

Not looking forward to it...my recovery time is 3-6 months...that sucks. At least I'll have more time to play playstation. haha. I just want to be able to use my arm again like normal.

The guy will cost the Ravens only $855,000. He could have easily been a cheap rental with Seattle paying the tab.

TJ is on the downside of his career. Still productive but on the downside. We've got some young guys that might show promise so if he comes in then someone has to go. Glad we passed. Good move for Baltimore.

Unsure as to why people thought Housh was the answer to our problems, he's no #1, never has been.
Good for him and good for the Ravens, it's a perfect fit for both of them.

Not only is he not a #1 but he can't run away from anyone. Yeah he's good underneath but we're already got two TE's for that. I just don't think he's what we need.

you hit the nail on the head. Altho, maybe the lack of viable options at WR (other than ones that need a walker) make us anty up and pay that 2nd and 5th to get VJ in here..............

I hope they don't follow your thinking.

You know that's a really good point.. Teams are constructed in different ways and while it would have been nice to have Housh, we aren't any worse today than we were yesterday-despite how some people are reacting.

Of last year's playoff teams NYJ, SD, Indy, Dallas & Philly each featured a TE that was either 1st or 2nd on their team in receptions. Balt, Pitt, GB, NO & Minn each featured a TE that was 3rd on the team in receptions. Only New England and Arizona didn't use the TE as a part of their passing game but they each have elite options at the WR position, a true rarity in the NFL.

We can be productive and proficient with what we have at the receiving (WR/TE) positions.

Housh is easily their #3. Clayton and Stallworth are not in his class.

He's their #2 and would have easily been our #1.
