Looks like their HQ is in Houston.


Not sure what country "owns" them. They also have offices in Canada, so that Houston office could be just so it's close to the Gulf work.

It doesn't sound like any deaths, and no oil spilling, so this one will fade away pretty quickly.

That makes me wonder if small explosions are a common, part-of-the-job occurrence with drilling, but we never heard about it before the BP spill...and now every one will get press, even if trivial.

Oil IS combustible.

The company called it a fire, but they could be down-playing it. I think fires are common however. Working on an oil platform is a dangerous job.
