Do I hear a case for 25 games? Imagine all the media coverage! "Coach dies mid-season!" The tickets practically sell themselves.
whats it gonna be 25 or 30?

Dirtbag59 12-08-2010, 09:14 PM whats it gonna be 25 or 30? Well the players union keeps telling me to compromise shortly after their usual GFYS comments but when I see all the potential money we can make I can't help but see Dollar $ign$! You know what, I feel inspired 41 games! People will be curious, like 'why aren't they using an even number.' And with the added buzz we can charge more for ads. GMScud 12-08-2010, 10:32 PM Side note- Urban Meyer is 46 years old... and he has produced 10, count 'em, 10, head coaches during his tenure as head coach. Pretty nice coaching tree. I'll miss ya Urban. You're the effing man. Urban Meyer retiring from Florida Gators is still a stunner - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=5900096) saden1 12-08-2010, 10:59 PM Proven right about what? I'm really bummed to see Urban go, obviously. But I sure as hell wouldn't say Florida is ****ed. We'll score a big-time coach no doubt. You're the next Miami....that's how the cookie will crumble. Now if you can get the staff of Boise State you could be the shit once again in a few years. Regardless, next year will be a tough year and the Gamecocks win the East. Regardless, next year will be a tough year and the Gamecocks win the East. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we got Dan Mullen back from Miss St. That would keep our system and a chunk of our assistants in place. We won't fall too far, despite what all the haters hope. KLHJ2 12-09-2010, 10:28 AM Any chance that Spurrier dumps the Cocks and goes back to Florida? I understand if he doesn't want to rub the Cocks the wrong way, but wouldn't Meyers's absence make his interest rise a little? I understand if he doesn't want to rub the Cocks wrong way, but wouldn't Meyers absence make his interest rise a little? I doubt that happens. Spurrier is pushing 70 years old. I have full confidence in Jeremy Foley. I think he's close to, if not the best Athletic Director in the country. He'll get a solid, younger replacement (my fingers are crossed for Dan Mullen). I'd also be happy with Bo Pelini or Jim Harbaugh, or even Chris Peterson if he ever leaves Boise State. I also wonder if Gary Patterson would consider leaving TCU.... KLHJ2 12-09-2010, 01:28 PM Shit, age hasn't stopped Joe Paterno. Though I consider him more like a figure head these days. I doubt that Spurrier goes back but it would make one helluva story a la Joe Gibbs. GMScud 12-12-2010, 01:19 AM I'll definitely take Will Muschamp. Really solid hire. Great recruiter, knows the SEC well, only 39, and lived in Gainesville for 10 years as a kid. I'd rather have Urban of course, but I'm very happy with this hire for my alma mater. Florida Gators hires Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp - ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5910011) mlmdub130 12-23-2010, 02:57 PM Any chance that Spurrier dumps the Cocks and goes back to Florida?
