GMScud 09-12-2010, 12:18 PM VT needs to hand the headset over to Bud Foster. Along with FB, the whole offensive (and yes they are quite offensive) staff needs to go.
I feel like every single year since Mike Vick, VT has had the defense, special teams, and running game to be a national contender, but they just haven't had a QB worth a shit. Now they've got one, and......
It's too bad to, because of all the "local" football programs, they're my favorite (don't really care for Maryland or UVA football). I'd like to see them do well.
EARTHQUAKE2689 09-12-2010, 01:19 PM Come on now. Take a little bit of humble pie at least. You were touting Boise hard after Monday's game. Turns out their opponent was soft and they still only won by 3 (and allowed 30 points- that beastly James Madison defense held them to 16 in Blacksburg).
I guess he doesn't like the taste.
firstdown 09-12-2010, 03:18 PM damn shame that its a "rebuilding year" with a senior qb thats started games the last 4 years, all of our running backs have experience, all our receivers are upper classmen pretty much, upper classman o-line...its damn sad that its come to this. we suck on both lines and our linebackers arent good enough, bottom line. congrats to jmu for the win today, but no offense its just inexcusable that VT loses at home to a 1AA team. again, i mean no disrespect to jmu fans or their team, but this is a disgrace.
I did not see the game but from th score it sounds like the D did their part and it was the O that could not do anything. IF that was the case people cannot blame that loss on rebuilding because the O has plenty of upper classmen.

the D sucks just as much as the O. tbh im more worried about the defense because their tackling has been atrocious and the depth is very poor. lots of injuries there, no experience, and the talent level is just lower. when we were top class on defense we had all american linebackers. vince hall, adibi, james anderson, cody grimm, etc. now we have bruce taylor, jeron gouveia winslow, and lyndell gibson. 2 3 star guys and 1 4 star. but from watching them they are just average at best, and winslow is not good at all.
and my comment wasnt stating that we are rebuilding. i was saying its a shame to call it a rebuilding year if we have so much experience on offense. this was not meant to be a rebuilding year with tyrod as a senior plus a full stable of receivers and backs.

Im just happy they didnt show the game on TV. Tech blah blah blah, if it is one thing its another thing with this team. Same issues on offense every single year. There are no excuses for that loss. ACC been a second rate conference for awhile anyways. How did FSU make out?
But I did hear something interesting about the Big ten vs the SEC on the espn pre game show, the last 10 meetings between the two before any match up yesterday...the Big Ten held the edge 8-2. I didnt check up on it, and it doesnt sound right, but that didnt sound too dominate.

kinda like the 06 and 07 national championship games right? the big ten doesn't suck, yeah penn st. beat lsu in the bowl game last year but as far as dominance goes:

Nope I was referring D-Bag to my above post in response to his previous post.
Admit? lolololol funny dude you are. Id admit as defensive as you are about the subject shows your uneasiness with SEC vs Boise State question. Yeah I still stand by Boise State could beat just about every team in SEC, I think its just humerous how defensive SEC guys get at a statement that is not ridiculous. Relax it just second rate amature football.

I'm not defensive, I am just letting you know there are at least 6 teams in the SEC that would beat Boise by double digits.
