It just smacks me in the face how conservatives get so demonized for being noninclusive and unreasonable when there are just as many liberals with the same kind of mentality. Beck is a douche..but to dismiss every single thing the guy says, like some are want to do, adds so very little to the discourse. There are a lot of people who find common ground with some or all of what he says. They're not all stupid no matter what some believe.
People think we don't listen to what he says and that somehow we should heed and take stock in some of the things he says. I mean stuff like "work hard" and "love god" can't be dismissed but when it's peppered between his delusional rants it's hard not to dismiss him as a worthy messenger of ethics and love.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has followers too.

Unfortunately Beck has a platform (or pulpit in this case) where he stands up and gives opinions which he is paid very well for. The message itself I agree with him 25% probably, maybe less. How he delievers that message I disagree with 100% of the time with his bullsh*t theatrics, crying, yelling, insults, lying, twisting of facts and stats, and most of all inconsistencies and hypocracies. Beck knows this type of bullsh*t, TMZ-like, pro wrestling acts sells...extremes. Sh*t I know papa bear probably grown a little jealous. Dude knows he gonna be hated and he loves it. Adds to that persona...you see how happy he was to let people know he wore a bullet proof vest for his service on Saturday? People need to wake up and see it for what it is...a damn circus
True, but there are millions more that believe in other mythological being(s). You've got numbers on your side right now (I'm assuming you're christian, apologies if i'm wrong), but were the ratios reversed and the vast majority of citizens hindu/buddhist/islamic/whatever, would you like your laws to reflect their beliefs?
Easiest, most rational solution is to disassociate government from all/any religion until such a time as one/all can be proven to in fact be based upon something real. That means empirical proof, not hallucinogenic interpretations of migrating fowl. Now if you see four horsemen, I reserve the right to change my stance.

But I charge you with this. Produce empirical data such that the only conclusion that can be drawn denies the existence of a supreme being in this universe.

His beef with the "GZM" (i just made up that term) is that he thinks we should look into where the money that is funding it comes from, since many view the motives behind the imam wanting to build there as questionable. Also there was a Greek Orthodox Church destroyed when the twin towers fell, that has not been granted approval to rebuild. They submitted paperwork to rebuild their church pretty much immediately after their church was destroyed. I believe that the GZM only recently (last couple of years) made the request to build their mosque. The Greek church has been tired up by red tape, while the GZM was pushed to the front of the line for some reason, likely political (much like how the Skins, Lions and Vikes all cut Marko, political bs).
He says that they imam should be able to build the GZM if he provides proof of where the money being used to build the mosque comes from. I completely disagree with Beck on this. I say don’t make them jump through hoops to build their mosque, just let them build it just like you would any other group. If it turns out down the road that the money was tainted then take action then. But I don’t understand how you can hold the Greek church back and let this plan go through
If you want to know where the money is coming from you need only check their IRS filings. Jon Steward broke the whole idiocy (http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/thu-august-19-2010/extremist-makeover---homeland-edition?xrs=share_copy)of "where the money is coming from" question and his follow up (http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-august-23-2010/the-parent-company-trap?xrs=share_copy) is even more hilarious (a must see).
As for the whole Orthodox Church issue, well, you see, the ground zero mosque is actually two blocks away from ground zero and the orthodox church that was destroyed is right in front of one of the towers and within the land that belongs to ground zero. The orthodox church's inability to build is due to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey having the authority to prevent them from building while the same is not true of the planned Muslim community center building/land. The two have nothing to do with each other and I am not sure why people feel the need to make it appear as if the Muslim community center is getting preferential treatment.

I cannot produce proof that Unicorns do not exist either, nor can I conclusively demonstrate the non-existence of bigfoot, leprechauns or gnomes. The lack of evidence is proof enough for a rational/skeptica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skepticism)l mind. The burden of proof lies with those claiming these "powers" exist. It is nothing short of systemic lunacy.
