I don't get it. While maybe a few were over board, the event was called Restoring Honor, so why are there a bunch of T-shirts in this collection saying Restoring Honor. Unless you think that in itself is a ridiculous message, and if that's the case anything said is going to be ridiculous to you. It's like going to a RUSH concert and calling the people wearing the Farewell to Kings t-shirt bizarre.

I think it is "wonderful" that messages of cooperation and restoration are vilified based on who they come from. Maybe that is the real problem with our system. No one wants to hear what the other side has to say...no matter what it is they are saying. Beck may be a donkey but on this day it seemed he tried for the event to be something of true value. Yet so many can't fathom that maybe, just maybe, he a few points here and there we can all agree on. Unity requires listening and discourse people...not out and out dismissal.

Its the Huffington Post....
I hear all the time people talk about how Beck is crazy, that’s he’s a fear monger, he lies, he’s raciest, ect. The hate that he receives is because hes so animated and occasionally goes off on tangents that its extremely easy to take clips from his program and show them on the daily show, msnbc, youtbue while making him look how you want him to look. For most people its inconvenient to watch his show because it comes on at 5pm, so they take the depictions from the clips as face value.
I was hanging out with some people over the weekend in DC and the Glenn Beck rally came up. Everyone started to talk about how crazy he is and stuff. I stayed quite. So this was early in the evening. 2 of the guys talking about how crazy he is turn out to be hard core conservatives, like abolish the federal reserve and federal income taxes are illegal type stuff…. Im just thinking how did you trash Beck a couple hours ago and have these radical ideas???? Im guessing they have only watched selected clips from his show.

Agreed. That's the Huff Post though...there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of the tees...a couple pins were funny. The radical right pin is really funny cause it relates to Becks twisting of history.

I dismiss insanity pretty readily. When someone gets up and starts claiming that we as a nation need to turn back to a mythological being in hopes of fixing real world problems... sorry, I don't need to listen to that nonsense. I wonder... if this were someone saying that the US needs to turn to Allah for guidance in order to restore honor (whatever the hell that even means), how would that work out? Buddha? Pastafarianism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster)? Sorry, crazy is crazy. I don't pay attention to the guy on the train rambling about the end of the world and I likewise can't be bothered with an uneducated blowhard spouting equivalent drivel. The only reason it's even worthy of discussion is that there are at least 300,000 like minded lunatics.

Dam the left likes to call people names that don't agree with them. Just go through this entire thread and see the name calling. I thought the left was the party of inclusion, yea my ass. Thats all right november is just a month away.

First, so I have a question. Do you consider me a part of the "left"? Should be fairly easy to answer.
