What has Rivers done exactly in the league? If you want to rely on stats (http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=true&seasonType=REG&d-447263-o=2&conference=null&statisticCategory=PASSING&d-447263-s=PASSING_40PLUS_YARDS_EACH&experience=null&d-447263-n=1&season=2009&qualified=true&Submit=Go&tabSeq=0&d-447263-p=1)over the last few years I would say McNabb is indeed a better deep ball thrower.
Let's give Rivers some time to earn all the accolades.Outside of having been really really good and having won his division every year as a starter, not a whole lot.

Silly Tripp and his observations.

Why throw an option away when you don't know where you'll be drafting, other positions on our team becoming bigger needs, WRs from college getting hurt, etc
insurance policy
Why? Because Kelly is MR Glass!!!!!!!

Okay you're just not going to get it.
Rivers is good, very good. Still, he hasn't been to 5 Championship games and a Super Bowl yet.

It shouldn't get lost either that McNabb has been very good as well, for a pretty long time.
I don't think that's getting lost, as I think Redskins fans were highly respectful of McNabb even when he was QB of the Eagles. But I do think when people say he's a top five quarterback, we're setting him up to work miracles that he's probably not capable of working.

Nah, he doesn't shatter when he gets hit....he doesn't get on the field to take hits.
He's more like a dried-up, old rubber band that's been on the shelf for years. Try to stretch it and it crumbles.
At least he seems to have the right attitude
