I seriously doubt Kelly will ever play a game for the Skins again. No great loss IMO. Shanny and Bruce will probably have to make WR priority number 1 in the offseason, but seriously hoping Armstrong or Thomas can breakout.

I think the team chose to IR Kelly in hopes of eventually getting some return on their investment. He's been paid approx. $3.2 mil over the last two years for a grand total of 28 receptions for 365 yds.

With the start of the 2011 season possibly being delayed, he'll have ample time to recover in hopes he can return healthy and remain that way.

If you value accuracy even in the slightest, it's hard to argue in favor of McNabb.

I can't think of one thing McNabb does better than Rivers. Throw deep? Nah.

What has Rivers done exactly in the league? If you want to rely on stats (http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=true&seasonType=REG&d-447263-o=2&conference=null&statisticCategory=PASSING&d-447263-s=PASSING_40PLUS_YARDS_EACH&experience=null&d-447263-n=1&season=2009&qualified=true&Submit=Go&tabSeq=0&d-447263-p=1)over the last few years I would say McNabb is indeed a better deep ball thrower.

Let's give Rivers some time to earn all the accolades.

Jay Cutler is the smexiness. I would count Rapistberger too. He did significantly help a team with a shitty Oline actually win a Super Bowl.

I doubt we are not going to draft a WR simply because Kelly is on IR. It's a simple decision to put him there, all it does is cost DS Kelly's base pay this year. Then next year, MS/BA will draft one or more receiver's, and the best man wins. Don't get why his presence would affect draft strategy at all. (And I don't think Kelly got on MS' good side with this lingering injury, some of MS' comments sure sounded like Kelly just needed to suck it up and play through it.)

Never said Kelly would affect draft strategy. Just said since since there are many stud Wrs next draft why not just drop him. Getting a WR I am sure is one of the needs on the draft wish list for 2011 or 2012.

Why throw an option away when you don't know where you'll be drafting, other positions on our team becoming bigger needs, WRs from college getting hurt, etc
