agree or disagree but threads like these just show how crappy the skins really are... only the crappiest of crap teams discuss this... some calls may be crappy, but the only thing crappier than the refs is the O
I say you were right but it has been bad in other ganes with other teams as well!!! I really don't think it's the Refs against the the Redskins I think it's a case that the refs are just don't do there job that well! The are just piss poor....old guys that can't see! I just think the NFL could do better!
The refs screw everyone.
But when you're a team that's struggling, the bad calls hurt even more.

The refs only screwed us on a couple of calls. Bottom line is, is that the players have execute the plays and not commit stupid penalties. Especially in the red zone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't figure out how they didn't reverse that Pinkston call. And the pass interference on Smoot was a bunch of BS also. They were just tangled up and the ball was way overthrown anyway. It seems like the Skins get screwed by officiating every week. But by far the worst agonizing moment of the season, let alone the night was when the Redskins had the ball first and goal on the 10 down 14-6. They proceed to have about 4 penalties(all of which were legitimate) and 2 dropped passes and end up missing a 48 yard field goal! How do you go from first and goal to kicking a 48 yard field goal? What a train wreck. You can't f-ck up any worse that that. I would expect better execution from a high school JV squad!

Most of the first half calls went our way. We've had some bad calls and some screw jobs against us this year, but we weren't screwed out of anything yesterday. We had first and goal down by 8 and when we self-destructed, I knew right then and there the ballgame was over.

the penalties flat out didn't matter, they matter much more in a close game... even without those bad calls this week, we still lose.
How can you say the penalties didn't matter?
The penalties were the reason we got pushed back to the 35 after having a 1st and goal.
If we got a TD in that situation it's 14-13 and an entirely different ballgame.

Guys we had 12 penalties for 115 yds. 4 of them in the red zone. I think it's safe to say that they did cost us the game.

I think Wilbon sums it up for all of us.
Chantilly VA: The officiating was atrocious to say the least, how could they let stand the call where the Eagle player's foot was obviously out of bound when replay was so clear? I guess the NFL sent the third rate crew to unimportant games?
Michael Wilbon: Your team, failing to reach 20 points for the 10th time this season, scores six points...your receivers drop passes and your linemen can't stay set (even after a timeout) and your concern this Monday morning, at 3-7, is the officials? The Zebras? Are you drinking the same stuff those people at The Palace of Auburn Hills were consuming. Don't come in her with this referees junk when your team gets its butt whipped. After the Green Bay loss, okay. The call directly affected the outcome of the game. But last night's loss? Please. The Redskins still cannot score and they cannot score because the downfield passing attack isn't what it ought to be. Period. No analysis of anything that deals with the Redskins this season should start with referees. Log off now, go to a dark place, and take a nap.
