McNabb played with a sports hernia. The chances of him missing this game due to a lightly tender ankle seems pretty slim.
Yes, but he also played his worst season when he played with that sports hernia. McNabb needs to be healthy.

Worst is relative I suppose, I thought he played pretty well then all things considered

Redskins | Donovan McNabb expected to practice next week
Tue, 31 Aug 2010 21:27:28 -0400
Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said he expects QB Donovan McNabb (ankle) to return to practice next week, reports Barry Svrluga, of The Washington Post. McNabb attended the team's practice Tuesday, Aug. 31, without shoulder pads, but he also didn't have the protective sleeve he wore on the lower part of his left leg Monday, Aug. 30.
Awesome news guys!
Time for him to get ready to drop 40 on the Cowboys as I also have predicted!
YESSSS!

Not saying he played well with a sports hernia rather pointing out the fact that he's played through injuries that were a lot more severe then a bum ankle.

McNabb after practice was walking w/teammates up hill towards building on a chewed up part of grass, and was dancing & having fun w/mates.
The dance was actually a medical test for his ankle...they put him on unstable ground and asked him to dance.
