is it too late to trade for V. Jackson, since the skins only have one WR and won't put Devin Thomas in the lineup.

If VJ can teach our defense how to play the 3-4 then sign him up.

Can the defense teach our WR's how to catch? I love the way people try to devert the attention away from one problem and turn it into the one they are only interested in.

No, VJ can't teach the 3-4 to our defense so we might as well forget even trading for a WR even though we only have one catching anything. Lets over look that the only threats we have and utilize is Moss, Cooley, and Portis. No need to bring in another WR to help out Moss unless he can teach the 3-4 to the defense.

I sure hope the same standard is being used for whomever should be brought in on the defensive side of the ball..... hopefully they know how to teach our WR's to catch, run routes, and block.

Given our offensive performance against the Texans, I would say that we can produce on that side of the ball. It seems that a lot of the drop off this week came because of Trent Williams being out (exposing the lack of depth in our line), probably still having running issues, and our defense failing to stop a rookie QB leading a Jackson-less Rams offense.

While WR is still an issue (and it will be if MS insists on putting Old Man Galloway and Roydell Williams; not to mention maybe McNabb not being able to trust a WR not named Santana Moss), I don't think it is to a point where the team must bet the farm through picks and a high contract on a talented WR that already has off the field issues, will most likely be suspended for a long time the next time he messes up, and whose GM will not trade because they are making him an example.

I know we need VJ but we also are going to need our draft picks next year to fill the many holes on this team. There will be some WR in FA. We definately need a NT, 2 Gs, a C, CBs, FSs, LBs, RBs, RT ( do not see Brown staying after this year), and maybe another QB since we only have one signed past this year.

Looks like Jackson is the lone hold out. I wonder if the Chargers are going to let him even come back to earn his year of eligibility...and I wonder if sitting out will take a toll on his abilities (see Darrelle Revis).

Logan Mankins in New England is still a hold-out...

If/when they put Devin Thomas in the line-up they will still only have one WR. For the last two years, everyone said it takes 3 years for a WR to "mature"/"develop" - - pretending that other rookie and second year WRs around the league are all turkeys. This is Thomas' third year and he can't find room unless it's a 5 WR package.

Snooping over the Jackson mega boards @ ES and everyone is trying to decipher TK's new riddle on this issue...Just the messenger here...

Apparently there might be a trade looming with a team that roars and runs a 4-3 defense...
That part was easy,as I have that as being the Lions..(And Schwartz is hayneswroth old coach from Tennessee)

Question is...is it just Haynesworth or are we trying to work a deal for one of their WR's in a trade...?

I'm wondering if we aren't trying to trade for Calvin Johnson? I've heard they are not happy with him over there...who knows? Or someone else...

Maybe Shanny feels he can get a younger and better potential prospect cheaper than what old A.J. Smith is trying to screw people with...lol

Wouldn't that be crazy?

Interesting.. shouldnt this be in the AH thread no the VJ thread.

Once we lose our third game are you going to change that ridiculous sig? You really lose alot of creditbility by using that.

If the Lions traded Calvin Johnson for Albert Haynesworth, that would be CRAZY in every language ever known to the human race.

If Bruce Allen pulls that off, beware. It means he has sold his soul to the Devil...
