Well, we did pretty well in the air, we confused Sanchez, we forced some turnovers, and their D didn't look all that hard ass. Can't wait for Hard Knocks this Wednesday.

I will say at this point I'm very confident in Grossman as a backup. Odds are he'll start some games this year, and I'm okay with that.

I didn't notice any injuries of note for our guys either, which is really positive.

You forgot to mention Haynesworth lining up next to the Jets fullback all night.

What a difference a new D-Coord. makes. All of the sudden we have guys making plays on the ball (Hall, Buchanon, Landry) . Last season we were a boring, bland D that didn't give up alot but never took any chances. The run D is a concern but that's what happens when you switch to a 3-4 sometimes. I think it will get corrected and we will have a top 10 Defense. I really feel good about this whole team for the first time in a long time. HTTR

Let's see...Kelly is once again pretty much done, so is Willie, and Thomas is on the bubble. Great game except for the run defense.

man did anybody see that write up on espn.com for the game? what A CROCK! so biased for the JETS it's ridiculous. they only showed the moss reception...that's it. everything else was the jets scoring drives and at the end they said and the skins scored on a late TD drive to win the game in the 4th.

Not to mention the obligatory TMZ-like blurb on Haynesworth, that conveniently left out how he owned the Jets O-Line.

yeah, espn, anything to get a HIT on their website. I can't stand their biased...especially for the popular teams. remember when they had the most profitable teams the cowboys were number one...and at the end in like 2 seconds they said the Skins were the 2nd most profitable. ridiculous. the skins are the rodney dangerfield of football...really funny...but no respect.

Didn't Banks fumble a return?

He did. He also took a 1 yard screen pass on 3rd and 13 and straight up FLEW for a first down. He's a real weapon if used properly. If we can use him in the return game and draw up situational plays for him out of the slot, on screen passes, and maybe a wildcat here and there, I think he could really contribute for us. We haven't had that kind of game breaking explosiveness forever around here.
