Theismann made such a big stink about how amazing Santana's hands were and then he drops a gimme like that. Has another starting group of Receivers dropped more balls this pre-season? They better get their sh*t together before the Cowboys come to town.
Well that drop was definitely on Moss, but the majority of the incomplete passes were because of none of the three QBs today could throw the deep ball accurately.

First two seasons under Shanny aren't going to be great, maybe 3. I know that is saying a lot, but you just can't expect to change systems on both sides of the ball and expect everything to run like a tuned up Corvette right off the bat. Shanny will have the same trouble Zorn did in that he doesn't have the right personnel for his systems that he has put in place, or quite frankly they might be inadequate. With the exception of Spurrier, the preseason has indeed been a good preview of how our offense/defense perform during the regular season. There are indeed some nice bright spots to build on, but the overall look so far is that of a .500 team. Skinsnut is right to be concerned, but that is if one expects us to be automatic playoff material. Who knows, maybe by Sept 12th it will all gel, but usually it doesn't with this team. In short, what you see in preseaon is pretty much what you get in the regular season.

I really would not be surprised at all to see Portis and Keiland Williams definitely make the team. If they carry only 3 RBs I think its a fight between LJ and Torain. I don't think Willie has done enough and they aren't giving him reps. Never a good sign. I wouldn't mind seeing Williams and Torain making it over LJ and Parker.

Perhaps they were deciding on 2 WRs to cut and already decided on keeping him....cut date is in a day or 2 after all.
He'll play a lot next week they say

I think Armstrong, Austin and Banks will make the team, all 3 have shown quite a bit. My guess is Kelly goes on IR.

Ahh the blind homers. As for you signature, if "you know a good football team when you see it," what makes this team capable of winning 10 more games than last year? LOL. Come on.
I personally expect a slow, stinker of a game. Rex will have no Mike Sellers blocking for him, and Willie Parker is known for being a lousy pass blocker. Personally I don't care about Grossman's numbers in this game, I'll be happy if he gets out alive. That's Jets D is something special.
As for our defense, well the Jets are 31st in ypg during the first few preseason games, so I'd like to see us confuse turnover machine Sanchize and play well.
I'll be happy if our offense moves it, but I doubt it happens. My number one goal: an injury free night. September 12th looms large.
Well, we did pretty well in the air, we confused Sanchez, we forced some turnovers, and their D didn't look all that hard ass. Can't wait for Hard Knocks this Wednesday.
I will say at this point I'm very confident in Grossman as a backup. Odds are he'll start some games this year, and I'm okay with that.
I didn't notice any injuries of note for our guys either, which is really positive.

Random Stuff: Leigh Torrence just had a sweet pick-6 against SD's Billy Volek.

Didn't Banks fumble a return?
