Playing off the Top 32 All-Time WR Thread, let's do our own list.
Here are the groundrules: 1.) No Redskins can be on your list (to avoid homerism, for you fans of other teams-Sandtrap,Giantone-no Cowboys/Giants respectively) 2.) Has to be someone you actually saw play, whether at the game and/or on television. I know Jim Brown was awesome but I never saw him play so he doesn't make my list 3.) Order is not important, just the top 5 overall
Quarterback
1. Joe Montana
2. John Elway
3. Tom Brady
4. Peyton Manning

Cool thread. I believe Montana was the greatest football player of all time, and clearly my top QB. In the Emmitt / Barry debate, I'm probably in the minority, but I would take Emmitt every time since Barry often put his offense in a lot of 3-and-outs by losing 5 yards on first down dancing for the home run, whereas Emmitt would turn a 1 yard play into 3-4 yards by running much more decisively. Payton was probably a better blocker and receiver than both, so I give him the nod as the best RB that I saw. Rice is peerless at WR.
