tootergray34 09-09-2010, 06:39 PM P. Thomas for sure
def. sit McFadden
total tossup with McCoy and Portis.
I think Portis' ankle should be good to go , but McCoy could be great catching screens out of the backfield. I'd go with McCoy this week cause the Eagles really have no other option.
with reggie bush being nothing more than a change of pace back I see P THomas getting a solid 15 points tonight.
I think mccoy and portis will both be in the 10 to 15 range as well.
and mcfadden is just ... well a raider. I love his talent, but he hasn't done much in 2 years...but with micheal bush out he could be big, but I wouldn't start him vs. tenn.

Eagles will be playing from behind against GB for sure. Philly already has a pass-heavy scheme, but he could end up with maybe a dozen carries...McCoy better catch a lot of passes to be fantasy-relevant.
MonkFan4Life 09-16-2010, 04:14 PM Okay so I just got a trade Proposal from a guy in my league.
Hakeem Nicks, Steve Breaston, Clinton Portis, Chris Cooley to me for
Greg Jennings, Tony Gonzalez, and Cadillac Williams.
Now my starting offense will look like this if I make the deal
QB-Aaron Rodgers, Carson Palmer
RB-Clinton Portis, Darren McFadden, Jerome Harrison, Cedric Benson
WR-Mohammed Massaquoi, Steve Breaston, Eddie Royal, Danny Amendola, Hakeem Nicks, Mike Williams
TE-Chris Cooley
His will be
QB-Tom Brady, Donovan McNabb
RB-Cadillac Williams, Joseph Addai, Brandon Jacobs, Laurence Maroney
WR-Randy Moss, Steve Smith (Car), Johnny Knox, Greg Jennings, Austin Collie
Te- Tony Gonzalez
My question is, is this a good trade for me ? Should I make this trade even though it boosts his WR core ?
Chico23231 09-16-2010, 04:40 PM ^Jesus, you started with horrible WRs. Its a pretty even deal, but your taking a much greater risk with exchanging Jennings for Nicks and Breaston. Both those guys kinda had "breakouts" for their first game this season. Your giving up a #1 for 2 # 2 guys. I would wait this weekend to see if both have decent games just to see consistency. You know for sure Caddy, Gonzalas, and Jennings are all number 1s who have more opportunities for bigger overall numbers. Cooley has Davis and Portis has LJ who potentionally could take away numbers.

My question is, is this a good trade for me ? Should I make this trade even though it boosts his WR core ?I would say no. If you do this you will have a starting RB and TE from the same team, not good. Jennings should outperform Nicks, Gonzalez should outperform Cooley and although Portis should be better than CW, the RB/TE same team thing hurts you and Portis doesn't bring you enough benefit to justify the trade.
GusFrerotte 09-16-2010, 05:42 PM I say go for it. Your team will still be pretty deep. The craziest trade I have had in my 11 seasons doing fantasy was proposed. THis guy is trading me Philip Rivers for Chris Chambers!!! I thought he was crazy, but his entire team is Chiefs!!!! I mean all of his starters are on KC! He gave me his best QB just to have all Chiefs. I doubt the commish is going to let it ride though, but it would be funny if she did. This one guy is balking about it.

no sane commish would let that slide.
MonkFan4Life 09-17-2010, 08:49 AM I'm the commish of my league. If it's a money league then either I say hey it's your money to lose but you won't be in the league next year. If he's stacking your team then maybe I'd have to look at it but that is a deal that just wreaks of a hook up. Not saying that's what you're doing but it would seem that way. We had a guy like that in my league 2 years ago, would make ANY trade just because he wanted Eagles on his squad.
As far as the trade goes, I thought the same thing that I'm taking two Skins, I thought that Cooley would be an upgrade over Gonzalez but Caddy doesn't even start for me so that would give me a starter for a bench player. I'm hoping that Portis get's #1 RB points but that's what has me confused. Jennings does is fact give me the double up if Rodgers goes his way but Nicks could end up being the Red Zone guy for the Giants. My WR game is some garbage even with Jennings, so taking a chance on Niks and Breaston is a tad far fetched.
JoeRedskin 09-17-2010, 09:24 AM So, I am one of the unlucky Ryan Grant owners. Making the best of a bad situation, who do you start in the flex spot (league has 3 WR's, 1 RB, 1 W/R; Colston & M. Turner are my sure starts):
R. Williams v. Minn
T. Jones v. Clev.
F. Taylor v. NYJ
or do I start a WR in the flex spot:
P. Garcon v. NYG
E. Royal v. Seattle
P. Harvin v. Miami
You get .5 pts per reception and 1 pt for every 25 rushing or rcving yards.
Chico23231 09-17-2010, 09:42 AM ^Id probably lean towards Garcon..
