Armstrong - #3 WR?

Landry - seems to be MUCH better at SS...seems to cover opponents tightly and prevents them from getting open; when receivers do catch balls over the middle, he takes them down immediately. Much better coverage and tackling this year.

It's really more the system then an actual switch of positions. Technically in this defense Landry's position is either left or right safety. In watching the game last night I would constantly see the safety's taking turns playing close to the line of scrimage.

Donovan McNabb may have had a ugly-looking stat line against the Ravens, but I think that he still played well. He extended plays and converted a lot of third and longs to extend drives. He also looked much more deliberate than JC when pressured. Besides, most of his completions were longer passes because his yards per attempt was 7.9 but his completion percentage was 42.3%. Moreover, those completions often came on third and longs, which are not converted into 1st downs very frequently, especially against a good defense like the Ravens.

You're right, but he's looking like a talent now...instead of a liability that makes an occasional exciting hit.

We should remember that even though the Ravens have a top flight D, they are woeful at cornerbacks. (Doug Deutch :)) Still I thought the line really did a decent job of giving McNabb just enough time (coupled with McNabb's poise).

I like how our pre-season schedule has played out, a big win - good for initial confidence and payoff for a hard nose off-season program, the 2nd game against a solid D- 1's on 1's played competitively, and this 3rd game against a solid D including corners, and a shaky O, we should see how well our D can impose it's will on a young qb. The Arizona game should be cancelled :)

Eddie Royal has 4 inches and 20 pounds on Banks. Besides I've never seen it work out where a team takes a special teams ace and puts him on offense full time. It's nice in theory but it seldom ever works. I'd rather try Terrance Austin or Anthony Armstrong in the Eddie Royal role.

Steve Smith for the Panthers (although bigger than Banks) was chosen as a special teams ace. Not that i think banks will succeed as a WR, just sayin that it happened at least once.
