Armstrong - #3 WR?

Landry - seems to be MUCH better at SS...seems to cover opponents tightly and prevents them from getting open; when receivers do catch balls over the middle, he takes them down immediately. Much better coverage and tackling this year.

Bidwell is money.

Armstrong has been very impressive...but his success won't have an impact on Kelly. Different types of receivers filling different needs.

That's true, I didn't think of that way.. U really believe Kelly will be with us through out the season?

Hicks is a journeymen. He is what he is. I hope you're not expecting Russ Grimm in there.

Precisely. Hicks is a career backup. He has never been our real solution at RG or RT. He is our solution...for now.

It would be nice if some young buck picked up the slack at RG (looking at you, Rhino), but that has not yet happened.

If Armstrong makes the team, whos spot is he taking?
I see Moss Thomas and Armstrong as the only 3 sure bets at this point

As much as everyone LOVES banks...the kid had a single touchdown punt return for a TD against the BILLS...now if he could catch passes against 1st or 2nd string...thats a different story.

Isnt roydell williams and bobby wade still on the team? Right there are 2 spots that can be opened up along with the ageless Joey Galloway...

I believe he won't be cut, but that's just my own speculation

As for Armstrong, I think if the season started tonight he's probably #4 right now behind Moss, Williams, and Thomas

Everyone is so quick to throw Kelly out with the garbage.

He's an incredible talent, tall, fast w/ great hands. And is a solid character guy too - unlike so many talented WR's in the league. He's been struggling to get healthy, which is disappointing, and I agree there has to be a point in time that the team moves on, but I'd give him at least through this season.

He'll be a solid WR in this league, and I have a feeling we'll regret tossing him out with the recycling.

Speaking of recycling, I would not be surprised at all if our 5th WR is someone that is on another team right now. There will be lots of quality WR's cut in the coming weeks and potential to trade a guy that we would otherwise cut for a WR3 or WR4 from another team is still there...

I am not going to compare Kelly and AH in terms of attitude, but one thing is certain, what matters is what you do consistently, both in practice and on gameday. If the coaches can't count on you to be there for either of those, then regardless of your skills, your value to the team is decidedly diminished. At some point the potential upside no longer outweighs the diminished return. If a marginal tall WR is cut by another team, it wouldn't shock me that we bring them in and test them out to replace Kelly.

A lot of talk about BAL being a real test for the running game and pass protection, this game revealed some weak spots that need to improved on before becoming a serious contender. Praise the team for their all out hustle. Things will come together soon.

A bright spot from the game IMO, was the Redskins starting Defense. They are quick to the ball getting in the backfield making plays. I think that as pre-season roles along the Defense will see their mistakes and correct them, example where Orakpo had Rice in the backfield but Orakpo didn't breakdown in time to make the tackle.

It's a good thing the refs didn't throw a flag every time we were held, with all the clock stopages we might still be playing the game. I thought the first team D did a good job against a team some pick to go to the SB
