I've locked the other Haynesworth threads and we're going to start with a fresh one. Let's all try to act a bit more civil toward each other on this one
Albert Haynesworth took his most defiant stand yet against Mike Shanahan on Saturday night, saying the Washington Redskins coach underplayed the two-time All-Pro's medical condition in recent days and that he intends to boycott next year's offseason conditioning program as well.

it is what is with him. he is like my two year old just looking for a reaction but has no actual bite.
I am sure MS could give a crap what he is saying.

"You'll have to ask them, but I guess they'll tell you 'headaches' again," said Haynesworth", Why is it the team's responsibility to report what is wrong..
Shanahan is certainly making it clear that he has to earn his postion, I do like that... nobody is assumed to be in a position. Nice.

As long as his off-field language doesn't translate to his on-field performance I could care less. Plenty of people run their mouth about their leadership but they still perform up to their abilities. Week 1, Dallas' offense first possession should tell the true tale of Albert Haynesworth.

I bet that bothers Albert too. He probably wants MS to give a crap and the fact that he doesn't or at least is not showing it pisses off Albie even more. When you have as high an opinion of yourself as Albert does of himself you expect everyone else around you to feel the same.

I just think it's time to move on and we should cut the guy. He's really not that good of a player and the defense played well w/out him last year. They seemed to play very well w/out him last night. We've got a new regime here and he doesn't fit well with the new staff. Enough of this bullshit drama. Just cut his lazy crybaby ass.

I agree; he's too much of a hassle.. However, would you want to cut a guy after you give your own 21 millions dollars to him?

Albert Haynesworth is part of a team. He acts as though he's the whole team. While he may have enough fat for a whole team, he's one player and he's acting like a two-year old child with tantrums. He's a disgrace and the money he's made is outlandish for the little he's contributed. I think it's reaching the point where Snyder should swallow his losses and kick the bum and his headaches, knee problems and potty issues out!
Look at Clinton Portis. He used to be a prima donna - he didn't practice, he went around the coach to the owner, etc. Not anymore. Look at what condition he's in. I expect big things will come of his willingness to participate once more.

Yes I would cut him, regardless of the money. At this point we need to just move on. As you said he's just too much of a hassle with all this drama. I've never seen a guy that is more of a train wreck then this fat baby. It would be different if he was any good but the guy plays one play and then he's ineffective for the next few plays and gets pushed around. Enough is enough.
