Yes that is what I said. I though you said that I thought he was the best DT in the league..whatever mis understanding. Bottom line is he is not the best DT in the league. Not even close and when he's not on the field there is not a drop off. Cut our losses and time to move on.

Look, I know that everyone wants to take the hardline on this malcontent, and I understand that. But remember this..............

-Over 45 million dollars........repeat, 45 million dollars. What a tough pill to swallow, even for the free spending Snyder.

-Marketability = ZERO. Obviously noone wants the guy, we have been More than dangling him around as trade bait, and not even a nibble.

-Talent = High. If, and this is a big IF, but IF Shanahan can get this guy to literally get with the program, and he could conceed just a little bit of ground and offer somewhat of an olive branch and just start over, the rewards could be sky high. Its all about ego, and if Shanahan is serious about a title, then doing it with Haynesworth will be alot easier.

A motivated and content Haynesworth is desirable, and if anyone can get him to play, its Shanahan.

I think your 2nd and 3rd points are the most relevant. I still wish we could have done a three way deal with seattle and sd but AH has pretty much ruined his value in this league. As for the money, tough patooties to Snyder. He signed the contract (albeit in good faith) and if he has to write it off then that's that, that's part of the cost of getting this franchise headed in the new (hopefully right) direction. After Saturday's speech by AH, I doubt there is any reconciliation with MS possible. And MS didn't leave any doubt or wiggle room for AH to go through this season half-assing it as he has been accused of doing in the past.

Somebody, maybe Fletcher?, needs to take AH out and tell him he needs to shut up, get with the program, and help this team win. If it hasn't happened yet, I doubt it will going forward.

At this point I have zero faith that AH will just miraculously come around, fall in line, and get with the program. He's already saying he's going to be a no-show for next year's offseason program. He is what he is, a turd.

As much as it would hurt to cut him outright, I would rather go that route than let him continue to be a distraction in the locker room. Sometimes you just have to own up to a bad decision and cut your losses.

This makes Shanahan look like a bitch for letting Albert trash him and the rest of the team, and MS not doing anything about it.

Jim Zorn let people walk all over him, especially CP, but now it looks like its the same old same old....

Shanahan will have the last laugh. Guaranteed.

I sure hope so. Thats what the team needs is a strict coach. Joe Gibbs wouldnt yell, Jim Zorn had no balls, and hopefully Mike Shanahan is the guy to not fool around with.

Well, to be fair, Shanahan came out Sunday and drew the line in the sand, no practice = no play. I don't see how anyone looks at MS and sees him not doing anything. If anything, I think you see AH's whining as proof that MS is not giving in to an impetuous player. The 2 main questions are, at what point does the shape up or ship out message sink in to AH? and if it doesn't can we get any compensation at all for him?

If there is a silver lining...Shanny is handling this perfectly. He is really shaping this franchise and getting alot of respect in the locker room. His concept of team has come together and basically says if you dont buy in, we dont need you. That has been impressive and a long time coming with this franchise. I would love to get Danny Boy's pinion bout this.

Agreed. MS isn't taking a backseat to anyone.

Which is so rare for us, having a coach with testicles, even more a coach with testicles that isn't afraid to use em!!!!!
