i don't think we'd want brees, he's had ONE decent season (after being in the same sstem for THREE years), and he's going to be overpriced... kitna would be a better option if he's available, but it'd be even better if ramsey proved to be good enough to win games.

That Guy:

Let me point out to you that Kitna has alo had only one good season. IN that respect he and Brees are pretty much the same and Brees is significantly younger.

Personally, I would not try to sigh either one, but that's just me...

Juggernaunt:

Assume I am an NFL GM in search of a LT. You offer me Samuels who brings with him an $11M salary next year and one year to go until he is a free agent. That is not very attractive to me. Then you ask me to give you 2 first round draft picks in exchange? At this point I am laughing so hard, I forget to hang up the phone...

If Gardner brings a single high 3rd round pick in a trade offer, you should jump at it and take it and give thanks to the Almighty for your good fortune...

Betts is a back-up RB; nothing he has shown on the field yet says he can be a feature back. Why give you 2 third round picks for this kind of guy. Wioth two 3rd round picks, I can probably draft a back-up RB and still have another pick left over...

I don't know if Kitna would be such a good choice. He doesn't have the greatest arm and he'll be 33 when next season starts. Not old per se, but it seems like it could be a Brunell all over again

we wont ever be good unless we do somethin with the players we have... esp. QB. if we havent learned by now that the one-yr quick fix is bullshit then we never will go to the playoffs... ramsey has the talent and shud be our starter next yr. keep bruns on as backup... as far as the others i dont know exactly but we def wont get all those high draft pix

the problem with buying yourself a QB is they take a while to adjust to a new system... I mentioned kitna only because he'd be a lot cheaper and he actually had a completely new system installed and was able to shine immediately... before then the bengals were always known for complete ineptitude... either way, i think it'd be best to let ramsey grow in one system with the same players instead of risking shell-shock on a vet again... (garcia is the only vet in a new place thats doing any good, but he's still a while away from really fitting in, adjusting himself to the new players, and having the gameplans adjusted to his strengths)
