Did Heyer actually have a good game tonight?

He played later on against Bills' scrubs. I don't remember anything particularly negative about his performance, but the overall pass protection definitely began to break down once Beck came in.

On the other side, Will Robinson had an especially tough time. Based on what I saw last night, I'm more comfortable with Heyer than Robinson.

It seems to have escaped everybody's attention that the defense gave up 146 yds on the ground at an eye-watering average of over 8 yds a pop.

The Ravens will be licking their chops in anticipation.

Thats not good. How do you get hurt with a bright red shirt that screams if anyone comes near him during practice?

Yellow shirt, but you are right about getting hurt it ain't suppose to happen they say he has a sore hamstring.

LOL. Yeah. Then after he caught himself he said, "oops, maybe I'll get a shirt." So awful.

And Pocket Straight, I've know for a while how bad Sam/Sonny are. I just never listen to them because I'm always in front of a TV for the games. Tonight was just a refresher on how bad they really are.

Shit, totally forgot. Happy belated birthday!

Yeah, Robinson needs to go. BMW was better at tackle than him. I have been pretty hard on Heyer but he is a legitimate back-up tackle. I think the key to Heyer is his health. He can be decent in a pinch but just can't handle being an every down, every game guy.

My biggest worry about the team right now is that Andre Carter is absolutly useless in pass coverage. Witten will have 300 yards against us if we don't figure that problem out.

Orakpo is a cover corner compared to Carter but Orakpo has to be rushing not covering. Orakpo in coverage is a win win for the offense.

I wouldn't be too worried about LJ, he'll be the second back and get some reps next week. I mean, I'd be surprised if he's not in there against the Ravens.

That said, boy did the team look on the ball and prepared last night. The team looked "coached", for lack of a better word. This wasn't a team just trying to score points; They were following assignments, being where they needed to be, and having some fun along the way. That's what pre-season is about.

Thank God Jim Zorn in Baltimore is all I can say.
