I have to admit, I had my doubts about Sanchez but it looks like he's developing ahead of schedule. 13/17 for 119 yards and 1:1 TD:INT ratio is a very good night for a young QB. If he continues at this pace then the Jets will be more then capable of living up to their preseason hype.

Anybody else impressed with the Giants new stadium? Watching the Jones-Mahal and now the Giants build a great new outdoors stadium makes me wish we still played at RFK. I like what DS did with putting up the new HD boards but I will openly admit looking at the Cowboys and Giants new digs makes me wish we had a state of the art stadium.

I've realized that I'm not to crazy about stadiums without a backdrop and/or a few creative structures. The New Giants Stadium seems like a shinier version of the old one, in that it's a giant bowl meant to seat as many people as possible. Our stadium is similar in that it's really just a giant bowl.

Right now I'd say that for me, the Ravens, Steelers, Titans, Patriots, Buc's, and Seahawks are among the nicest stadiums in the NFL. At least in terms of how it looks on TV. Ugliest include the Rams, Vikings, Saints, Raiders, and Dolphins are among the worst for me.

Still there's something to be said for being shiny.

Sanchez is going to be a star, both in fantasy and in real life. His QB play is best characterized as Jekyll/Hyde, with the Hyde due to him being a rookie learning the ropes. Once he learns the ropes, the Jets will be riding that gravy train to multiple Super Bowls and people will be bowing down to his awesome 1337ness. I already have.

I'm not so confident in Fez Sanchez. USC QBs do not have a great track record in the Pros, but I just don't see him being a top QB. He'll be better than last year, of course, but I don't see him being a star, especially with the NY media to destroy him with every mistake. Another 12 TD and 23 TO season and he'll be gone though. He's lucky to have the Jets' O-line, defense and now Tomlinson/top WRs to help him along. If he can't develop with all that talent around him, something is seriously wrong.

His ceiling could be more like a Frank Reich or Vinny Testeverde than Montana/Manning. He'll have some highlights and moments, but in the end, will be average.
