About damn time.
Haynesworth PASSES Conditioning TestMTK 08-07-2010, 11:46 AM About damn time. SFREDSKIN 08-07-2010, 12:30 PM This could be a monster year for him, if he stays healthy. He's probably in the best shape of his life, having lost 35lbs. and now that he has stamina (thanks to all the cardio he's been doing). He could finally be the next Reggie White like some folks have predicted. SirClintonPortis 08-07-2010, 12:45 PM I'll bet he was perfectly capable of passing it a few days ago, but his knee effed him up good. I never done athletics, so I don't know what experience the swelling and stuff would cause. I doubt a week of treadmill work would suddenly make him be in "football shape" though. Neither a suspension or boycott are likely accurate descriptions of what is going on. Seriously, beyond the tweets and Redskins Insider, there's nothing that we know that went on between them. 12thMan 08-07-2010, 12:52 PM So I'm still in bed this morning and my phone starts ringing off the hook. I'm thinking who could this be? It was a buddy who's been going to camp. I was like, shit, did a plane drop out of the sky or something? I pick up, he goes guess what? Silence....then I go what happened, someone tore their ACL? He goes, Fat Al passed his conditioning test! Have people lost their ever loving mind over this sh*t!? CRedskinsRule 08-07-2010, 01:08 PM Man somehow don't you feel that someone in the organization said to Al, I don't care about the first week, but d*** you better be practicing by Fan Appreciation Day! I love seeing conspiracies everywhere :D Regardless, I am glad that the team is together, with a week of practice before the first preseason game. And I think all the teammates can feel that it was handled professionally, and not cause much stir in the locker room. GMScud 08-07-2010, 01:14 PM It only took 10 days. Good job fat ass. He could finally be the next Reggie White like some folks have predicted. At least by passing the test he removes another avenue used to continue the denigration. I hope he has a pro-bowl type season and prove what an asset he can be when both healthy and motivated. GMScud 08-07-2010, 01:21 PM Four straight posts on Redskins Insider about Albert Haynesworth. Can Jason Reid please give us something for once? I'd love to hear about the offensive line, about Kareem Moore and Laron Landry, about the competition amongst the 3rd/4th/5th cornerbacks, etc etc. I could give a steamy pile of dung about all this Haynesworth stuff. I want to hear about the TEAM. Sheesh. This is some of the worst coverage of camp I can ever remember. Probably a mental thing more than anything, the MRI probably helped him get over it. And at the least, it left him with no more excuses. I wouldn't go touting his stamina just yet. |
