mlmdub130 08-04-2010, 08:55 PM i hate to be that guy, but after being butt f-ed by realtors and banks the past few months, this just sounds way to good to be true. i think he hired a brilliant pr guy and is doing all the right things and saying all the right things. we will see once there are actual results and a consistant front office. maybe things have changed, but i'm just gonna wait and see. i really, really, really hope it works this time i'm so tired of bitching about my team i just wanna be relivent in the nfc again
mooby 08-04-2010, 09:41 PM That was extremely refreshing to read. Like they said, the best way for fan approval for Snyder will be winning, and luckily for us, he's no Mike Brown in the way he runs ship. I for one am confident that the train has been put on the right tracks, so to speak.
Gmanc711 08-05-2010, 12:08 AM Twice.
Though the one at Denver somehow worked.
I always appreciated Zorn's aggression in trying to make something out of nothing, but his reckless approach towards his reputation did come back to bite him in the end. Hard.
Well honestly, the Denver one was brilliant.... and they had an out if It didn't work, they could have just punted it..... If you re-watch the Denver one, you'll see Sellers basically pull across the entire line and go out the other side...that's easily my favorite play of last year.
dgack 08-05-2010, 01:53 AM that's easily my favorite play of last year.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but damn, this is what we've been reduced to... :)
Hopefully we have a whole slew of amazing plays we can point to this time next year as we fondly reminisce during camp....
SolidSnake84 08-05-2010, 08:19 AM I'm surprised at Dan's level of honesty and the fact that during that interview, he just seemed like a regular guy.
Could Snyder of just been misunderstood, and unfairly stereotyped by the media? I'm not gonna be Dan's biggest fan all of a sudden, but he was telling the truth when he said that for the 4 years Gibbs were here, there were almost no allegations of him "meddling" with the team.
He came across as a genuine and honest man, and actually validates other posters' descriptions of Dan as a nice and friendly man....
SmootSmack 08-05-2010, 08:37 AM Snyder is way different from what he was in 2000, largely because very influential people in his life back then are no longer here. Whether by act of man or act of God. Still, for most people they still see the "2000 spend truckloads for past their prime stars" Snyder.
I've always said Snyder's biggest flaw is that he thinks too much like the fan he once was. I think he gets now that he just can't do that anymore. He can't be ignorant and impulsive like all of us who have no true responsibility to the team. He's not just a fan anymore.
There are many owners around pro sports just like Snyder, but we don't care about them because we're on a Redskins board.

So true.....I wanted to say what you said without typing it.
It's my belief he's also gotten over that fear of failure and what people were going to think of him if he did. That being the sensitive side of him I think he's learned that to fail initially at something is not always a bad thing, sometimes failure will ultimately serve as the bridge to success.
Sounds like Danny is loosening up. Good to see him signing autographs and mingling with the fans at camp too. About time.
Monkeydad 08-05-2010, 10:52 AM Cool, maybe I'll try to get him to sign a $10 bill for me. :D
