I think what it means is that the Shanahan's have determined that Colt is garbage and they needed to find a QB who could atleast provide some competition for Bartel. I know there's been talk of the Skins only carrying two QBs on the active roster, but thats foolish speculation in my opinion. Yeah, Shanahan's done it before, but never with a QB as brittle as McNabb. At some point, McNabb is going to miss atleast one game. We simply can't go into a game with Grossman as the the only active QB. We don't even have ARE any more to serve as an emergency guy. In the end, Bartel's our third QB and we're just bringing in Beck to push him to improve. Paintrain 08-02-2010, 03:08 PM The Cut of Colt re-emerges.. He was saved by a hip injury last summer, now he may not get another pre-season game snap with the Skins.. It doesn't say too much that Beck was traded by the team that employs the coach who originally drafted him. Oh well. EDIT As I was saying... ESPN 980 has learned that QB Colt Brennan has been released.
