The worst part of this whole ordeal is that it could have been avoided on day one if his fat, stupid ass would have just taken a piss before he came out the first time. Everybody said he smoked it the first run out and it's been downhill from there. No question in my mind that he's tanking it now to force Shanny's hand.

I feel the same way but if his knees show visible signs of swelling then I wouldn't consider it tanking.

that's what i'm saying. he's been tanking it from day 1. Al's going to pass it when he wants to so he has to practice as little as possible while still getting his money and playing time (which i don't think he really cares about too much either).

i don't think it's possible for him to look worse, but it's not like he really cares. There was just an interesting topic on Around the Horn... if Al never passes the test and sits the whole season out who would be the winner? Al getting paid zillions of dollars to sit on the sideline or Shanny for sticking to his guns?

I read somewhere that the team technically could put AH on the PUP list or something like that which would keep him from playing here or anywhere and allow them to call him back up when they were ready. I kinda got the impression it might even effect his salary however I could be wrong about that. But in any event it would embarrassse him a little..... maybe. lol.

Let me get this straight. Docket is 290 pounds yet still has less than 10% body fat? That's freaking insane.

There is a big difference between the work out AH probably participates in and working out in order to have endurance. AH probably worked out in a manner in which helps his short quick bursts and getting off the ball quickly plus weight lifting in order to be stronger. That style of work out has nothing to do with jogging a mile or more every day in order to have endurance to pass this test.

Most likely his knee is flaring up due to the fact its not ready to run all those yrds. He should have been doing more running so his knees would be prepared for these shuttles.

well being an effective NFL line men means you need endurance. so he should be training for both.

if thats true, then i hope thats exactly what the skins do. i say screw fat al, the money has already been paid so screw it. let fat al just rott away, maybe even rott his career away. who really cares anymore? i sure don't.

I really had no idea in my head how difficult it would be to pass that test. After seeing Golic run and the slow pace he was running come on Albert!
If u can't pass that test your just one lazy SOB. I've not worked out in a long time and I have no doubt that I could go out and run that right now and pass it easily.

It sounds like it may be difficult, but after watching the thing I agree. I may be able to pass it with a week of training let alone an offseason in which I lost 35 pounds.. This whole episode is dragging on far to long for something that should be easy for a NFL athlete.

I think AH wants out and is playing games at this point. It is a tit for tat kind of thing. Yeah it could be the knee thing also as some have said, but losing 35 lbs would alleviate that problem to a certain extent. I say he is jerking the Skins around.

I guess you could be right, but I thought there was some actual physical evidence that the trainers saw? Swelling in his knee. I am not disagreeing with you either.

I mean sure the knee could be an issue, but why keep trying to do it, if it is an issue? Just tell the coaches you are having knee problems and deflate the hype/story and just wait a couple weeks. He can observe from the sidelines and study his playbook til the swelling goes down or he gets treated.
