I was hoping SS could shed some light on the situation. SO you think a trade for VJ would not include trading away Kelly, but instead cutting him outright? I would think if we were going to trade for VJ that the Chargers would want Kelly in the hopes that maybe he does better there. I would think it was worth a chance anyway...

The team does not want to give up Moss and the Redskins told the Chargers they would not do it at this time......Do not be surprised if the Skins cut Kelly and trade DT and a 2nd round pick for VJ, I like DT but Moss ond VJ with the other vets could be pretty good.....The talk is that with the 2 TE's we have they could get by without Thomas and Kelly and with VJ some at Redskins park think they would be better off......DT and MK are just not cutting it and the staff has no confidence in them from whet my bro is hearing around the office...........Will be back tomorrow night, got to go to Tampa, got some tickets to the Rays-Yankee game.......HAIL, thanks bro, I know you read this!

Although trading for a QB who's likely going to be cut can be added my list of Shanarat's crimes; the other two being not re-signing Ethan Albright and Hunter Smith.

Well, I would say this. The only time Kelly was seriously a part of any discussion this past off-season was when the Redskins put him out there in a bid for Brandon Marshall. Broncos weren't interested.

I don't think MK is helping the Redskins out if they're hoping to use him as trade bait for Jackson. If they do go after Jackson, and I've heard mixed things on that, it's probably going to take Devin Thomas.

Is it even worth giving up Thomas for VJ? I'm sure theyd probably want Thomas plus picks.

Could we get San Diego to take a (repackaged) 3-4 DE named Haynesworth for VJ?

Or, since Minny showed some previous interest in AH, maybe pull off a three-way trade?

Honestly, and this just my belief, I don't think we're going to trade for VJ. And I think a big reason why is that the Chargers will not settle for less than something like DT and a 2nd round pick. And Allen will say no.
