Slingin Sammy 33 07-27-2010, 03:34 PM We had a thread like this last year, where folks could post questions they have about what's going on at camp, what happening with specific players, position battles, position group performance, etc. Those of us who are going to Training Camp would do our best to answer them.
I'm scheduled to go on Aug. 3rd. and I'm sure a few others are going as well. If you happen to see me at camp, and have a good grasp of Redskins history, you'll know who I am.
Fire away with questions.
rbanerjee23 07-27-2010, 03:59 PM There's a Philip Daniels Q&A session that was on ExtremeSkins recently...apparently he came on and answered a lot of questions. Understandably, very vanilla responses but there were a few gems.
My favorite was someone asking him to compare Orakpo to someone he had played with/against and he answered, "a young Lawrence Taylor". Very happy to hear that comparison to say the least.

Anyway, if possible, can someone try to get a feel for the running back situation. As in, does one guy seem to be getting more reps, look crisper, break away more often, etc.
artmonkforhallofamein07 07-27-2010, 07:22 PM SS33- I would like to know how the Oline looks and in specific TW. How is he doing adjusting to the speed of the NFL with pads on. It will be different for the big man when guys get helmets and pads. Just your over all opinion of our new offensive line would be nice Sammy.

just tell! haha
Lotus 07-27-2010, 11:37 PM First I want to say that you do a great job reporting from camp even without our questions. Thank you.
I'd be curious to hear how Carter is managing at OLB, especially in coverage, given his experience with the 49ers.
Do we have a quarterback?
One reality that pretty much flew under the radar during OTAs and minicamps was McNabb’s performance–he did not exactly shine while running the offense. His passes frequently fell to the ground either as a result of McNabb throwing to the wrong spot, or going to the right area but misfiring. The Washington offense was far from appearing to be a well-oiled machine.
Now, part of the reason that this wasn’t discussed much is that it was somewhat expected given McNabb’s lack of experience in making such transitions. But such excuses will end when training camp starts. If too many passes are hitting the ground during 11-on-11 drills at Redskins Park, or if McNabb doesn’t look sharp in preseason games, the pressure to fix whatever is wrong will be ratcheted up several notches. An 11-year veteran is expected to have a highly compressed learning curve, regardless of his past history in having to deal with change.
tryfuhl 07-28-2010, 03:42 PM Good question davy.
CRedskinsRule 07-28-2010, 04:09 PM where did that quote come from Davy? I think we all know a portion of McNabbs throws are going to hit the ground. What we are counting on is that the deep balls are going to hit the receivers.
SmootSmack 07-28-2010, 04:16 PM Redskins On The Spot: Donovan McNabb (http://www.csnwashington.com/07/20/10/Redskins-On-The-Spot-Donovan-McNabb/landing_v3.html?blockID=274749&feedID=4717)
