My response: Why only 5? Why not Capers & Cook? Why not some of the other UDFAs whose names escape me? We are coming off a 4-12 campaign and that should mean a new/young blood infusion and lots of it!

Will the entire draft class actually make the final roster? During preseason games they'll all be interesting to watch, in the event they all impress, the final cutdown to 53 players may expose some veterans we had anticipated would be contributors.

Capers and Cook aren't even guarantees to make the final roster.

I think the only real guarentee to make the roster is Trent Williams, maybe Riley. Would not surprise me if any of the 5,6,7 rounders get cut.

Capers I have a vested interest in as he was a Mountaineer so I am pulling big time for the guy, that and it would be nice to get a LT and RT in the same draft. We would be set for awhile if they both panned out.

Dennis Morris won't be cut, we release Sean Ryan to pretty much give him a roster spot as the 3rd TE/ 2nd (someday 1st) FB.

Williams is a lock, outside of him I say Riley makes it and so does Morris. The rest are question marks.

In related news...I believe Trent Williams has just signed his contract, and it's now being approved by the league.

Don't quote me on that, can't confirm it yet. Will start a new thread whenever I get confirmation. Until then please just consider it educated speculation.

Your tweet's being "heard" round the world.

I still haven't heard anything, for a rookie contract approval process really should be nothing...which is why I have some doubts on whether he has formally signed. But I'm just going on what I've been told

Come on SS, is it done or not? :)

But yeah, this list is incomplete without Selvish Capers. I think Morris and he are going to be sleepers to watch, both were pretty highly regarded and I think just kind of fell to us so would not be surprised if we get a lot of value for the coming years out of this draft.

oh, and it was pretty insightful for the author of this article to put Trent Williams as a rookie to watch.
