IT'd be nice if we could take at least 1 from the iggles/steelers, but this was probably the worst time to start ramsey... hopefully he's up to it.

Damn, Ramseyfan you sound like me. I hope your're prepared for the crusade that you have instigated because these guys are going to take your view of Ramsey out of context and try to tell you who have confidence in him that you are putting him down and not giving him a chance. Just wait.

Obviously, I'm a fan of Ramsey, but I understand his limitations. I think many on the site who have been calling for Ramsey also are aware that Ramsey is not an instant fix. I think the consensus is that we'll perform poorly under Ramsey, but we'll fare far better with him under center than Brunell.

Even though I think he's not our savior (at this point), I do take into account the facts I talked about in my first post (i.e. Ramsey's inexperience, the tough schedule, the poor pass protection etc). So, while I want Ramsey in and STILL strongly believe he will be a very good QB, I realize he's no quick fix.

I don't think anyone was thinking ramsey would come in and win us the next 7 games, but most people here believe that he'd win us more than brunell over the same span...

We all need to just think a little more positively on this board, over the past several years we have already hit rock bottom so the only way we have to go is up. As far as the quarterback is concerned, have a little faith.

We WILL run on Philli, Gibb's will keep Ramsey in a lot of 3rd and short and try to keep him from sitting in the pocket to long, I also believe we will take Owen's out of this game with Taylor helping out on the double team, if we do this we will frustrate Owen's which will probably lead to McNabb trying to force a couple ball's to him to shut him up and Taylor getting at least 1 maybe 2 INT's in this game, the key will be keeping McNabb contained in the pocket, once he get's outside the pocket anything can happen, this would be a great game to get Lavar and Barrow back to run down McNabb but it's highly unlikly, Ramsey will probably throw a couple pick's but he will also make some big play's as well, this will be a close game, It's also a game Lavar could have been a big difference maker.

I don't by into this despair over the next couple of week's, I believe we have been in despair with player's banging their head's against the wall with Brunell, I think we will see a resurgence in our offense with Patrick in there, I think the player's believe in him and will really work that much harder knowing they will be rewarded if they do unlike Brunell, I am not saying that will translate into a win this sunday, but we will start going forward as a team, we were stagnate with Brunell in there. We know Philli will test Ramsey with the blitz we have to have a game plan to take advantage of that draw's and screen's should help slow down the blitz and give Ramsey confidence in his protection.

We'll beat both of them - through the air. Eagles D is horrible. Steelers pass D is inflated right now. Their safeties can't cover and their CBs are mediocre.

yeah i think with ramsey gettin' some reps in practice and having the job secured as opposed to coming in to try and be the hero, we might hang with these teams. philly's d isn't as good as it's been. i think that by maybe being able to get some yards through the air with ramsey, despite the potential fer a pick or 2, it will open up CP's game. our D will keep us in it as always. could be like are standard "WTF?" game like when we beat new england last year...
i think we'll take one of 'em.

it'd be really nice to end roth's win streak, even if it is a long shot ;)

Just be aware, Ramsey is going to look pretty bad against these teams. Both love to blitz and we've all seen how Ramsey performs behind an O-line that pass protects on an inconsistent basis.

If we are in either game, it will be because our D didn't let them get out in front of us 14-0 in the first half and we were able to jam Portis down their throats.

Agreed RF but I think that is what will start happening now, team's will have to respect our passing game much more now than under Brunell, which will open up the run game for Portis which in turn should help with the passing game and the protection, it's the old ankle bone is connected to the footbone theory and I believe that's what's been missing with this offense, so what if a team know's what's coming? Some of the greatest team's in history were very predictable everyone new what was coming they just couldn't stop them, and that will start happening for us team's might know we are going to run or pass the ball but they have to protect against both which allow's us more room to operate our offense, up until now nobody worried about the passing game, that will start changing, but the key is for Ramsey to burn a few team's and prove if they go lite in the secondary he will take advantage of it, the sooner he proves that he can do that the better off he will protection wise.
