The receipts for more than 40 pieces of jewelry total $588,500 from second lawsuit.

267K + 588K = 855K

2010 Salary = 2.52 million

Roughly 34% of his salary went to jewelry. Mind you, that 2.52 million is before taxes, before agent fees, lawyer fees so it's very well likely that percentage is over 50-60% in jewelry just alone.

This kid is a ****ing idiot and will not only be broke when he retires from the league but most likely before it.

Guess he didn't get the NFLPA's memo about saving your money because a lockout was coming.

If I had his coin, I could help to solve world hunger. I could have donated to Haiti. I could have donated to help cure intractable diseases. I could have helped underprivileged kids.

Nah, I think I'll blow it all on jewelry.

Good choice, having swag is obviously far more important then helping your fellow man in their time of need.

This reminds us, deduct $55K from his available funds for the dinner he got set up to pay by his teammates after he refused to carry the pads.

This is amazing...almost $900K in unpaid bills THAT WE KNOW OF. I highly doubt he's only stiffed two vendors...there's going to be more turning up I think.

He's making MC Hammer look like a financial guru. I thought the league gave incoming rookies lessons on financial management...but we all know Dez wasn't the scholarly type when in college anyways.

At least Hammer used his money to help friends and family...Bryant is just blowing it faster than he can make it.

I bet the IRS will be the next "company" knocking on his door.

Dez is building an injury history too. This could be a quick and ugly career.

No, I respect Hammer as a person. Dez is completely opposite...selfish piece of trash who steals from people.
