Gibbs won't step down, that's just ridiculous.

But I don't think the idea of him bringing in a GM is out of the question.

Don Banks takes pride, unfortunately, in writing about the Redskins struggles at every opportunity he gets (which sadly has been more often than any of us would like)

I don't understand his Marvin Lewis argument at all, quite honestly

Anyway, this quote from Gibbs yesterday I thought was really indicative of his commitment to the organization.

"I'm committed to finding a way through it, trying to build the franchise."

Trying to build the franchise isn't going to happen in two months

I think Gibbs is going to stay for a while - at least for three years.

The thing is, I think he may be humble enough to accept more input from a personnel office.

I agree Banks is a punk, but he is right about the GM situation. If we stick with the setup we have now, I think history is gonna repeat itself (and I'm not talking about the good history).

Is personnel really the problem right now??

Call me crazy but I think we have decent talent.

The real problem is stems from our constant turnover in talent and coaching.

Let's give Gibbs the chance to get all the parts in the right places, establish some stability in the team and franchise and build from there.

This is year 1, let's give the guy some time to mold the team. The media is so ridiculous. It's win now or else. No margin for error, Super Bowl or bust. Give me a break.

Any changes we make in the offseason need to be minor. Enough with the roster overhauls already.

And the funniest part of this is that the media always says "Give the guy a chance" in one breath and rips them down with the next.

By the way, you are crazy.

Decent talent. We have more talent than any team in the NFC East in my opinion. Our offense is under-acheiving, our defense is over-acheiving. Too bad they don't balance out.

Weren't you crushing Spurrier in his first year? You do the same thing Matty, just because he's Joe Gibbs that doesn't mean anything for most people, and some Redskins fans. He's no different than any other coach in this league that's not getting it done.
