Actually the niners are now very deep. They have a rookie 6th round pick from miss. State (Dixon) who was very impressive against the Colts.

They did lose Coffee though, so they are at best just as deep as we are. Even if we do cut Parker(more than likely with the newbies in tow), we have two stud starters and two promising young guns. Westbrook is a walking injury and should only play as a 3rd down back at best. Only thing that might help is he is now in the NFC West, a rather weak division.

agreed, i really like those two young guys. we need some youth on this team, and shanahan knows how to coach up young backs. bye bye parker.

I wasn't expecting us to sign Westbrook anyways, I think our backfield looks decent with Portis/LJ/Torain/Williams? It would've been overkill had he signed here. And with him on the '9ers he'll get more pt as Gore's primary backup.

Absolutely. Unless Parker amazes us against 1st-teamers in game #3, I think he's gone and two two young backs are in...which would be best for our team for this year and beyond.
