Damn, and to think he was potentially our backup plan had the deal for Brown not gone through

Was Brown our first choice to add another OL to the roster Smoot?
I find the rebuilding of our OL to be a breath of fresh air after years of neglect.
The FO did a good job of bringing in youth and expirience to one of the worst units in football last year. Glad we didn't make the Colon mistake.

Yeah he was the true first choice. They flirted with the possibility of Marcus McNeil but the asking price was steep. It was really Brown as the no. 1 target since March (if not earlier)

Well, hell yeah we got our guy!
Hope heplays back to his 2008 form. I have read a few statements from him and he seems as though he is ready to go.
Smoot-
Will he be full bolt by training camp or are there any unresolved issues? Do you have any inside info on the status of his health, past what we have seen in the media?

Sorry this happened to Colon. BUT, glad it happened AFTER the trade for J. Brown went through because we might not have gotten him as cheap as we did.
