Cop car going the wrong way down a 1 way street side swipes a parked SUV. They then arrest the man sitting in the passenger seat for destruction of city property. Surveillence videos near by showed the cop car clearly hit the SUV. Without that... this poor guy would have been convicted. Very sad. I hate that there will be virtually no repurcussions against these officers. If you find a cop doing something illegal, lying, etc the penalty should be enhanced. They should be held to a higher standard, especially since so much weight is given to their word.

That is flat out crazy.

This describes my MP experience to a T. I went in to the Army as a bit of a hail mary, but I aced the language aptitude test and was choosing between military intelligence linguistics, or MP. I chose MP for the protect and serve motto. However one of the days on duty that I will remember as a note I needed to get out, my partner that day who outranked me had us sit at a corner and pull over drivers who did rolling stops. Absolutely about power and control, not to protect and serve.

These things aren't just isolated cases either. It's happening more and more. Imagine the shit that isn't caught. It's time to make ALL police officers wear Go-Pros. It'll protect the cops and the citizens rights.

If citizens are subjected to CCTV (which we are, without prior consent), then cops should be also.

3 Reasons Intelligent, Rational Americans Don’t Trust Police (http://thefreethoughtproject.com/3-reasons-intelligent-rational-americans-dont-trust-police/#06L904kigmt4qGod.99)
Many Americans have people employed as cops in their families, and use that fact to rationalize “the good” of the entire profession. Some are simply too afraid to say anything about obvious violent, thuggish behavior of cops, while others desperately want to hold onto what little Pollyanna Americana is left in their hearts. The facts speak for themselves as far as why Americans need to be proactive in protecting themselves against the largest and most heavily armed gang in the USA. Here are three of those facts.
