I honestly don't have any faith in AH coming to camp (in shape), working hard, and keeping his mouth shut.
NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth SituationMTK 07-09-2010, 10:11 AM I honestly don't have any faith in AH coming to camp (in shape), working hard, and keeping his mouth shut. CRedskinsRule 07-09-2010, 10:16 AM I see ah coming to camp on time, being run ragged the first day, and then developing an injury that keeps him from practicing. He already has demonstrated considerable contempt for the new staff, and his statement was a laughable exercise at spin control when no one was in his corner publicly. Especially when he's not lining up with the starters right away. You just know the coaches are going to ride him like a dog too. #56fanatic 07-09-2010, 10:40 AM I honestly don't have any faith in AH coming to camp (in shape), working hard, and keeping his mouth shut. LOL - I really dont either, but trying to be optomistic for once regarding this team and front office. hooskins 07-09-2010, 10:44 AM Man I hope he shows up to one of the camps that is open to the public. I would love to go there, and tell him how I feel. It would be crazy the number of fans that will be booing him. He will hug the far end of the practice field when entering and exiting lol. MTK 07-09-2010, 10:47 AM LOL - I really dont either, but trying to be optomistic for once regarding this team and front office. I was holding out hope until he skipped out on the mandatory minicamp and said he wanted to be traded. KI Skins Fan 07-09-2010, 11:03 AM I had a gut feeling that Shanny would make sure that AH is traded by July 29th so that AH couldn't be a distraction at Training Camp. But, as time goes on, it's beginning to look like AH may be at camp, after all. Obviously, the best case scenario would be that AH comes to camp in shape and ready to go. I think we all know that he can dominate and there's no doubt in my mind that we would be a better team with him than without him. So now I'm starting to think that, if AH makes it to camp, he'll be here for the long haul as long as he can meet Shanny's minimum standard of behavior. It seems to me that every team has at least one player who is a pain in the neck. AH just makes more money than the rest of them. CRedskinsRule 07-14-2010, 10:12 AM Finally a positive ah article, granted it's an interview with his personal trainer but it painted his off-season in a positive individual light. The question unasked and unanswered is how it translates to the team approach. Fredericksburg.com - Trainer says tackle is in shape (http://fredericksburg.com/News/FLS/2010/072010/07142010/561567) When Haynesworth has visited other cities, such as Miami, Smith has accompanied him. Haynesworth and Smith have been apart for only 2 weeks since April, but Haynesworth maintained his routine even then, Smith said. "He told me, 'I want to go from April all the way through to July, nonstop, and be ready,'" Smith said. ... He wants to weigh less than in past years, Smith said, so there has been more cardiovascular work in addition to the position-specific, explosive weight-lifting exercises to which he's accustomed. Haynesworth weighed 362 pounds on April 5 and checked in yesterday afternoon at 330, Smith said. Haynesworth was listed at 350 in the Redskins' 2009 media guide. Smith also added boxing training to Haynesworth's routine for the first time. Two days a week for 45 minutes, Haynesworth hits a heavy bag or focus mitts. "If he can have quicker and more powerful hands than the offensive lineman, then he's going to stand a much better chance of shedding blocks, throwing guys off and getting a quicker punch to them," Smith said. "We've been doing a lot of boxing, and I think he really likes it." skinsnut 07-14-2010, 10:19 AM Finally a positive ah article, granted it's an interview with his personal trainer but it painted his off-season in a positive individual light. Fredericksburg.com - Trainer says tackle is in shape (http://fredericksburg.com/News/FLS/2010/072010/07142010/561567) This is a great article...but his weight loss certainly suggests that Haynesworth is trying to avoid having to play the nose full time. Another good thing is that it makes him far more marketable if the Skins want to trade him. A leaner, quicker Haynesworth may be worth keeping at DE. MTK 07-14-2010, 10:20 AM Believe it when we see it. Honestly what else is his trainer going to say? |
