I'd say without first seeing the squad actually play that is team has a 85% chance of being anywhere between 6-10 and 8-8. Anything beyond that is unlikely. So, yeah, we could make the playoffs....if the NFC totally sucks and an 8-8 team makes it in.
However, making predictions without seeing preseason live action is a bit crazy. This is all speculation. The only way I can see us doing better than 8-8, is if McNabb does great and we add a legit WR or if DT starts hitting on all cylinders in preseason....all that combined with no reduction in productivity in Defense...I too have concerns about a 3-4 dline, LB arrangement as half the starting LB's will essentially be rookies in the position and the Dline is a bit questionable unless Haynesworth remains.

I agree with skinsnut. Making predictions now is like a person who can see trying to read braille. You can see what's in front of you but you still can't make out what the heck it is. It's a glass half full/half empty situation. You can argue we don't have this or that. And we don't. We have upgraded this and that. And we have. rbanerjee23 was right when he said whatever way you look at it, we are definitely rebuilding. Only thing I am glad about is that even if we don't have a great season, atleast Danny boy is out of the way, for now, and the FO seems to know what the heck it's doing for once.

Anyone hear Jammal Browns interview on 106.7 the other day, with LaVar and Dukes? It was pretty interesting, and it sounds great that he compares himself to a Hog.

That wasn't even my favorite quote. His best one was when he said "playoffs ain't nothin'." If you excuse the incorrect english he has a great point saying that he wants to play for superbowls, not playoff games.

I am really happy right now (emphasis on the right now) with the Brown trade. He is saying all the right things, doing all the right things...let's hope he producse on the field.

In a side note; I re-watched the BCS National Championship game between Florida and Oklahoma, with Trent Williams as a Junior RT. I watched every single snap that he played, and I got to say that he was a dominate mauler the whole game. I'd say maybe 3-5 snaps he got sort of lazy on his blocking. And he only missed 3 snaps the whole game due to exhaustion from OU hurry up offense.
He'll be a great player for us at tackle for sure.

Can anyone give me an update on how Jamaal has played this year. The general consensus has been that he stunk at the beginning of the year but as the year has gone on I've heard that he's played better and better.

Seems like he's getting better and we can expect to see more from him next season.

No idea how I missed that, but it's still a pretty detailed response. Either way it's look like we have our bookends and with as much as 50 million in cap space we can afford to sign Brown to a long term contract.
