ok..this is unbelieveable but so true. Currently the Skins have a chance to make the playoffs. Unfortunately, it will be determined by their play. They will have to win some very tough games ahead. I know, let's only think of one game at a time..but I can't help but keep my hopes up.

Upcoming Games

Other than division leaders, there is only one team above .500 in the NFC and that is the Giants. The Skins can beat the Giants. The determining factor in the Giants first win was 7 turnovers and they still only won by 6 (I think).

If by chance the Skins can beat the Eagles 1 out of 2 then they are even more alive. The Eagles have not proven to be as dominate a team as I thought they were at the beginning of the year. They struggled against Baltimore and lost to Pitt. It seems as if the Eagles don't fair as well against teams with Good D's.

The Skins will beat the Cowboys. It will finally happen. That's all I have to say about that.

The Pitt game will be the toughest game by far. Not only does Pitt have a productive offense but their defense isn't too shabby either. We have 2 weeks until we play them to get some type of offense (passing mostly) going. I think this one could be a close game.

Against the Bengals today, the Skins Offense will finally show some life against the leagues 27th ranked Defense. This win is a MUST though for the Skins to make the Playoffs. If they lose today, I don't see it happening.

San Fran should be a win..but you never know.

Anyways, the Skins have a super tough schedule remaining. From the way the season is looking, a 9-7 team can make the playoffs. I guess we will just have to see.

Like I said earlier, I know we should only look ahead one game at a time, but I do like to be optimistic. There is still a chance..even though it is slim..there is still a chance.

All posts are welcome and read.

GO SKINS!!!

(oh yeah...let's not turn this into a Brunell Bashing post..let's try and make this a positive one...Thanks)

the key is going to be taking care of all the weak teams and pulling 2 out of 3 between philly and pitt, that should land us at 9-7, which should for sure put us in contention...my thing is, I don't see us taking 2 out of 3 from the PA teams.....sucks, but we are just not good right now......"right now"

our D give us a chance. I rather have a struggling O and a strong D then the other way around....defense ususally never catches up if its been bad all season, Offense is more rhythm and just getting comfortable...

it's so infuriating, because if we only could have played up to our potential during the weakest part of our schedule we would be in prime shape right now.

Also, don't you wish that we could have won that game against GB (okay, okay, we did win, but I mean had it count in the standings). That would have us in the midseason playoff picture at 4-4, with the tiebreaker over the pack

But the other interesting scenario to watch is Minnesota. Because if they continue to slide, allowing GB to take the division lead, it sets the stage for a jan 2 showdown between us and them where we could theoretically be a whole game back and still won the spot.

that would be amazing if we pull off a playoff spot. I hope we finish with atleast 8 wins. I dont want a top draft choice. I mean I do but I want us to finally improve and have somethign to build on and go into next year with a win streak. And if we make the playoffs I hope we definitly continue our win streak there!

I'll be happy if we can just win today! I'd love to think we could go, but I think the playoffs are still a year away.
Should wins include:

Cinn
Dallas
SanFran
NY

this means 7-9. It kills me that we couldn't pick up a couple before against Dalls, Baltimore, NY, or Green Bay. We really should be poised for the playoffs.

The way I see it, we still control our own fate. If we deserve to be in the playoffs, we SHOULD BEAT:

Philly (1 out of 2)
Vikings

That leaves 2 loses one to Philly and one to Pittsburg. Those teams are playoff teams so we really need to be able to play and win against them or there is no point in worrying about the playoffs anyway.

The good news is if we can beat those teams and make it in, I think we can go deep or even all the way....

We're not going anywhere until the passing game picks it up.

Cant put it any better than Matty. If today I see a huge passing game, then I'll be more than just thinking playoffs. If I see the same ol same ol.... We wont even touch the PA teams.

I think our team does have a chance against Philly, they are one of the worst in rushing defense and we have a solid defense which could possibly stop McNabb and TO

Nevermind. 14-0 Bengals.. Brunell 1/8, INT....
