"The Washington Redskins are a great and storied franchise with an owner in Mr. Snyder that will do anything in his power to win and a fan base that is unrivaled in the NFL. When I signed here after meeting all day with the staff and top executives, and talked about the defense that we would run and what my role would be, I was assured I would have the freedom to play to my strengths and I was excited about the future. After many years in the NFL, I know what it takes for me to perform at my highest level. My number one goal has always been to help my team win -period. It's also important at my position to help free my teammates to make plays, which I've done throughout my career when I've been allowed to play to my strengths. I will continue to work individually to prepare for training camp and the start of the 2010 season."

Sounds very douchebaggish to me. I am really disappointed that he chose this route...

We were 4-12 with AH last year in a 4-3, can we do worse without him in a 3-4??

That is what I was thinking as well. At this point I could care less who lines up as long as they win.

wow, i dont even know what to say. if he's not on board, trade his ass. but not for some bs 3rd round pick. he is still a good player and we should'nt just dump him the first chance we get. get something reasonable for him, thats all i am saying.

Does anyone know the most amount of money that the team can fine him? It would probably not be enough.

I hope they never trade him and let him rot and gain weight on his couch.

2006-2012 CBA
NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement (http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/34732966#/34732966/18)

Missing offseason mini-camp = 8,000/Day
Training Camp = 14,000 per day.
There is a section which says you can accumulate fines up to 20K/day, but it looks like you would have to work pretty hard to do that.

In addition, he wouldn't get his pay during the season. Also, I think if he sits out, a portion of his signing bonus may be forfeited.

I see no reason to trade him right now then. Let him sit, and we collect his money.

How about sending him to the Vikings for their second round pick in 2011.

Start to fine him $ 100,000 per day ,maybe Dan gets some of his $$$$ back . I doubt even Al Davis would trade anything for his lazy ass .
